this is a lovely hotel and we are so glad we found it. Not having a car was a bit of a difficulty and we were probably the only guests who did not. Getting from the main train line to hotel was most difficult aspect. The website has directions by road but not by train. It would have been good to have instructions for getting to Maratea Centrale on website. Beautifulsetting among old oak trees. sea and mountain views are stunning. Lovely family staff.

The hotel was lovely with great rooms/views. The resteraunt was also great, the one area of improvement required would be "the bar service".

First visit to Maratea and Hotel Martino. We loved this hotel. Balcony facing the sea and setting sun. Fantastic! Ample closet space and hangers. Hotel restaurant excellent for dinner & breakfast. Latter included with room. Located on hwy, outside of town of Maratea, so vehicle is needed. Ample parking at hotel. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed drive to Il Redentore (the Saviour statue on hill above Maratea). Afterward, found hiking trail up hill that looked like a good option. Found public beach within walking distance of hotel. Water clean, but beach a bit grubby. Still was nice activity for part of afternoon. Decent shopping opportunities in town. Couple of competing gelatari in the piazza, too. From hilltop, can see many other towns deeper inland from Maratea that we did not have time to explore.
