Hotel La Locanda delle Donne Monache - Maratea

L'albergo complessivamente è molto bello e curato; devo però segnalare delle note negative: la prima, più importante è che ci è stata data una camera molto piccola, la 14, presumo sia normalmente usata come singola (ma eravamo in due), non c'era dove appoggiare gli oggetti, il letto credo fosse una piazza e mezzo, di sicuro non era due piazze; insomma la camera matrimoniale non è all'altezza di un albergo a 4 stelle, e non perchè ho prenotato tramite internet devo avere una "punizione" (ho visto la piantina del piano e la nostra era la stanza più piccola, e tra l'altro era pieno di camere libere); seconda cosa: la navetta per la spiaggia convenzionata passa solo alle 10.30 e rientra alle 17; per fortuna noi avevamo la macchina, ma non averla è un dramma, le spiagge sono lontanissime; devo dire che comunque non avrei mai frequentato la spiaggia convenzionata, che affaccia su una secca, che è un lembo di mare fermo, un acquitrino, l'acqua è sporca e non si puà fare il bagno, insomma la spiaggia, il servizio per andarci e il servizio sulla spiaggia (tutti lettini appiccicati) non sono degni di un albergo a 4 stelle. Se poi andate in macchina, considerate l'evenienza di dovere aspettare tantissimo per prenderla dal parcheggio, dato che il parcheggio è piccolo e le macchine si devono incastrare tutte per farle entrare.

The location is beautiful, on top of the village, and the pool next to the church tower.

This is a very nice and unique proprty. You need to be physically fit to stay there. Many stairs in the hotel. For 160 Euro we were given a room with a view of a stone wall. When asked for a better room the reception person said we would have to pay more. The hotel could not have been 20% full and the move would have cost them nothing. That was the only negative experinece. Restaurant staff were great.

The hotel is beautifull and the food is excellent.

This was our first visit to what is now one of our favorite towns in Italy. The Hotel La Locanda was an amazing oasis of comfort and beauty for us in the middle of a grueling business tour of the country. The hotel is filled with interesting art; the staff is young, hip, and friendly; the dining/pool area is intimate and alluring. This is a magical, unpretentious place.

We had a wonderful stay at La locanda. The service was very good, the transport to the beach, the perfect closeness to the centre of Maratea. We forgot some clothes, everything was delivered after with post to our home. Thank you so much!

The hotel is beautiful and very peaceful. The staff could not have been more helpful. Everything was perfect and I would love to return earlier in the year when it would be even better.

The hotel is located in the upper part of Maratea, with a beautiful view (even from the pool). The personal is competent, friendly and quick at service, without beeing obtrusive. The hotel and the rooms are tastefully furnished, and everything is in very good condition. Additionally, this was the cleanest hotel we have ever been. The restaurant is very to recommend, and the head waiter is nothing less than perfect. The hotel has its own parking site very nearby. In our oppinion, nothing could have been better.
