At the rates charged, the coffee-maker at breakfast should not process instant coffee, but freshly grind beans (as, e.g., at Astoria Residence in Parma). Parking in the courtyard is also rather steep...

My wife and I were very impressed by the friendliness of the hotel on our first visit. Location very convenient. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Air conditioning fine but could be a little loud for some. Generally a very good weeks stay would have no hesitation in recommending.

A very friendly welcome for a hotel just in front of the station. A very reasonable price for tiny rooms and tiny showers

This family run hotel was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Conveniently located for arrival in and exploring of Mantua (10 min walk to historic centre) The hotel is on a busy road across from the station. We had a spacious quiet room over the courtyard; but noisy guests were audible in the corridor. A basic continental breakfast was pleasantly presented. Recommended for friendliness and value!

A really nice hotel.Location is one of the best for tourist by rail especially with the heavy luggeges. The staffs are very helpful and the breakfast was very good. The only thing I was dissapointed was that I stayed in the middle Oct,but there were still lots of MOSQUITOES in the room so I could hardly sleep. I recommend you to bring Mosquito-repellent incense or something.

Basic hotel, but clean and comfortable. Very convenient to railway station, and about 15 minutes walk to the centre of town. Room faced onto central courtyard garden and was extremely quiet. Breakfast had great coffee, but nothing special otherwise.

Excellent situation - directly opposite the station. It's a family-run hotel and the people are really helpful.

Great hotel, clean, new modern bathrooms, good air conditioning. Great location: right across train station, 10 min. walk from city center. Friendly and helpful staff equipped with city maps. Best hotel breakfast I had in Italy- they even offer fresh fruit and whole wheat bread!!

This was an overnight stop on our way back from holiday. Our room was lovely, overlooking a small courtyard at the back of the hotel. The service was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Mantua which is a wonderful town - must go back.

This is a somewhat old fashioned hotel in a very good position opposite the railway station, it caters for a wide range of clients, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and there is a pleasant courtyard garden, the staff are all very helpful and courteous. Anyone running a modern featureless hotel should come here and see just what an hotel should be like.

This hotel was entirely satisfactory for my purposes, clean, quiet, convenient, efficient. The staff were polite, agreable and helpful.I fully intend to return next year for the same reason as this time, provided the price of the rooms remains reasonable, since it offers better value than Verona.

The only issues we had were minor irritants, really - the bathroom shower in our room, and the room our friends had, was so small you really couldn't shower. the shower door didn't close properly in either room which got the bathroom floors wet, and you kept banging the water faucet with your elbow causing water to get nuch warmer or cooler - yikes! There was an issue with the printer for the free computer with internet access in the lobby, so we were not able to print out maps we needed, and no one seemed to be willing to do anything about it. The breakfast is pretty poor - not by American standards, but by Italian standards - the coffee could be better, and so could the quality of the bread and fruit provided. Just little things really, because if I stay in Mantua again, I am staying here, especailly if arriving by train - it's super convenient, safe, and clean.

A convenient (to train station) and welcoming hotel run by three successive generations of the family. Rooms are clean, fairly quiet, and the staff are attentive, friendly, helpful, and take pride in their hotel. Breakfast is fine. Hotel is not fancy but not spartan either. The courtyard is charming, and if you are traveling by train, it could not be more convenient.

Overall, I very much liked the attic room on the 4th floor - quite, clean, with a nice view, if the price for a single room would have been a bit lower, let's say 50 euros, I would have been absolutely pleased.

If you are coming or going by train, this is the place to stay (right opposite the station) and a short walk from the old town. Since the rooms are small, I wouldn't stay here if I were staying a week, but for a few days it's very pleasant. Ask for a room on the garden side (= quiet). Delightful staff. Simple but adequate breakfast.

L'hotel è OK ma considerando il rapporto qualità della struttura e prezzo, quest'ultimo è eccessivo

Good room (lacking only some storage space) with a balcony overlooking a quiet internal courtyard. Breakfasts (in the price) excellent. Staff courteous, helpful, and friendly. Well situated for sightseeing in the town. Good value restaurant (Spirito Divino) within 5 minutes walking distance.

Room was not very spacious if I had to study or do some inside activity. As I only needed for sleep, it was OK.

We were a party of three prolonging our visit to Italy - we had previously stayed in Padua and Venice, where we visited buildings of architectural interest. The hotel was very conveniently placed directly opposite the station entrance, so we were able to travel to other neighbouring towns very easily. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff at the desk were helpful. Given its location, it was surprisingly peaceful and quiet (our rooms were on the top floor at the back, overlooking a pleasant courtyard). The cold buffet breakfast was adequate, if somewhat limited. Two of us had difficulty getting the television tuned to receive BBC World. One of us found the fixed-head shower inconvenient.
