Very friendly and helpful staff, English spoken was a benefit. I liked the quiet location of the hotel, I felt there should be a better breakfast selection (cereals and cold meats) for the price. The on site restaurant menu needs more variation though what was provided was very good.

We had a lovely stay at the Pré Saint Michel and would definitely recommend the hotel. While Manosque doesn't have too much to offer, the location was great for exploring the provence region by car. We stayed for 7 nights and made trips to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Cassis, the grand canyon du Verdon and a couple of lovely smaller villages, which we all enjoyed greatly. In the mornings, we usually spent some time at the pool, which we found lovely, clean and nicely maintained. The deck chairs are modern and comfortable, there is enough shade and it was never crowded even though the hotel appeared to have been fully booked. The pool is located quite close to the street, however there is not too much traffic noise as the street is small. The room was really tastefully devorated in a modern provence style and very clean; the breakfast basic but served on a nice and sunny terrace. Tasty croissants and good coffee, but not too much else... Some fresh fruit would have been nice - we ended up buying that at a local market for ourselves. We dined at the restaurant twice and thought it was nice; service was very friendly, the food was good value for money and there is a very nice outdoor bar area where you can have a drink even if you don't eat at the restaurant. The hotel staff was friendly, however the reception desk isn't staffed 24 hours. At night, you get a code for the door, and during the day you need to ring a bell in order to speak to someone. Somehow, this makes the experience a bit impersonal, and conversations with the staff are tricky as only few of them speak (a little) English, but in the end we found everyone was friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable. We were treated to a complementary glass of rosé wine by the poolside on our last day, which was really lovely. We would recommend the hotel at any time.

A quiet and restful hotel on the edge of town with a swimming pool and views across the valley to distant mountains. Superbly positioned for anyone touring by car- with Manosque just down the hill, positioned between the Gorges du Verdon and the Luberon. The staff are effortlessly efficient. It was all very pleasant. The superb restuarant next door is an excellent bonus.

Very nice hotel, we had a room with a beautiful view to the pool and the landscape. The room was very nice and spacious. The Lady at the service desk gave as a very good advice for an excellent restaurant. In the hotel there is no real variety at the Breakfast buffet.

This is an excellent place to stay if you want a French countryside experience with modern facilities. It has an excellent independent restaurant attached to it. The staff very were helpful and the Hotel was full the whole time. I would imagine a lot of their business is referral. It is well located for enjoying the local nature and park areas and a lot of the other guests were part of cycling groups from other countries touring in the area. This is a great place to stay to make day visits to local tourist attractions and there are many of them. You need at least 3-4 days and also to visit the local village of Manosque which is an excellent example of a village that continues to be frequented by the locals.

Excellent value for money. The hotel was full but quiet at night. Staff competent and helpful. We ate both nights at the restaurant - very good service and food, again excellent value. Signposting through town got us there - I don't know whether the map would have coped with the one-way system. Recommended

When we had a small problem with the plumbing the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and considerate. The restaurant was good, the wine list very comprehensive and the waiters attentive. The rooms were quiet and facilities in general were well cared for and more than adequate. i would certainly stay here again.

We paid extra for a balcony but found we were on the ground floor overlooking the rear car park. If you pay for a balcony specify overlooking the pool or don't bother. Unfortunately our room was just off the reception area and above the kitchen. There was a lot of noise from people returning from an evening out and a very noisy kitchen which went on until nearly midnight. After that it was very quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was really excellent and was very well presented and reasonably priced. Th hotel is well out of town, too far to walk as the return is all uphill. We were very impressed with Manosque and enjoyed walking through the old town and found a great selection of shops. Well worth a visit.

The double superior room we stayed in was very comfortable. THe terrace attached was nice but we felt our neighbours were a little too close when they sat out at the same time. The swimming pool was great and never overcrowded during our two night stay.We ate in the restaurant one night and we thought the food and service excellent, we sat in the lovely terraced area of the restaurant which was beautiful on a lovely balmy night. Manosque`s old town is pedestrianised and populated with a good selection of shops. If you are seeking nightlife however Manosque is not the place for you, ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. We flew from Dublin to Marseille and drove to Manosque in under an hour on the Route National.

It's very nice hotel. The hotel restaurant is also excellent! They can offer good cuisine, wine and service. Prices are affordable. It would be appreciated if they can offer ham and cheese for breakfast.

A quaint hotel in the middle of lavender country. Impossible to find on maps but luckily lots of very helpful signs in town.
