A landmark hotel at the end of the M56 close to the junction of the M60, this modern purpose built hotel has easy access to the motorway systems North, South, East and West. Manchester Airport is only 3 miles away and a shuttle bus operates on request. For inclusive parking rates go to Stay and Fly.
Manchester City centre, Altrincham, Trafford Centre and the University are all within 15 minutes drive. Manchester United, Manchester City and Old Trafford are equally accessible.
The hotel has modern bedrooms, a good range of meeting rooms and with 200 car parking spaces it is a great location for meetings and courses.
Residents can use the Leisure facilities at the nearby Country House Hotel for a small fee and enjoy free entry to Fridays Night Club. For leisure guests there are 3 major National Trust properties within 20 minutes drive and Jodrell Bank Telescope and Chester are only 35 minutes away.

very basic room, would not want to stay more than one night. Breakfast very poor for price, did not look at all inviting and poorly set out. Do not rate hot water for tea in flasks or coffee in flasks either.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Not only did they charge me more on the internet then if I booked directly, but the place itself is horrible, especially for the amount of money they want. The room's chain lock was broken, the window wouldn't open, there was no A/C, there was weird white powder on the bed...I was afraid to sleep on the bed, it was DISGUSTING!!! The hotel is horrible. I would NOT recommend this to anyone, not even to my enemies! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!

rooms need definitely renovation, especially bathrooms. Carpets looked very dirty. Hotel direct at the motorway - not enough parking spaces (if parking in hotel-garage is possible, it is free of charge) Pub area very dirty, no clearing of tables for new guests during the whole evening.

How to reach Britannia Airport Hotel South Manchester
Driving Directions:
Please note that the M63 and the M66 have been re-numbered as the M60. Exit numbers have also changed. The hotel has also only recently become a Britannia Hotel, and exterior signage may still say 'The Posthouse Hotel' until permission is granted for it to be changed.
From M6:
Join M56 for Manchester and go to the end of the motorway. Following signs for A5103 for City Centre, take exit for Northenden (B5166), just after exit 3A. At traffic lights, turn right into Palatine Road. The Hotel is 100 metres on the left.
From M62:
Join M60. Follow signs for Manchester Airport. Exit at junction 5. Stay in left lane on exit road and dual carriageway. Turn left when you reach the traffic lights in Palatine Road (B5166). The Hotel is 100 metres on the left.
From Sheffield/A6:
APPROACHING CLOCKWISE –RING ROAD EAST
At Junction 3 take the M56 for Manchester Airport. Exit at Junction 2 of M56 sign-posted Sharston.
At roundabout take 2nd exit. At next roundabout take 3rd exit for Manchester (A5103). Stay in left
hand lane exiting M56 sign-posted Northenden. At traffic lights turn right, hotel is on the left
after 100 yards.
From A34:
Turn left half a mile after the M60 turn off (A5145 signposted Stretford). At fourth set of traffic lights, turn left (still A5145). At next set of traffic lights, turn left into Palatine Road. The Hotel is one and a half miles on the right.
By Rail:
The nearest British Rail station is Manchester Airport. There is a 15 minute connection train from Manchester Piccadilly station. Please see below for details on courtesy transport from the Airport to the Hotel.
Shuttle service from Manchester Airport:
The Hotel operates a regular minibus service to Manchester International Airport. When arriving at the airport or rail station, please use the courtesy telephone, by dialling 0808, to call the Hotel. Please give your name, how many in your party and the terminal that you are at.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. Shuttle service to the airport is not included in the price and costs £4 per adult for a round-trip ticket and £1 for children up to the age of 16 for a round-trip ticket. The service is free of charge for children up to the age of 2. Fares can be paid at the front desk.
