The location is just perfect, since it lies at the very centre of Malcesine. Almost next door you will find the cableway to Mount Baldo, which offers incredible views over the lake and the Alps.
Malcesine offers a variety of sporting activities (some of which can be booked through the hotel): from sailing to trekking, from windsurfing to swimming and bicycling, to fishing and free climbing. And Malcesine is not far from great cultural towns such as Verona, Venice and Padua. The Catullo Hotel is pet friendly.

Excellent location, poor service. Pro: Location, parking space, pool (though very cold) Cons: Rooms very small, Towels changed once every week (!!!), Soap provided once a week (small one!!!), no fridge/mini-bar, staff sometimes rude (here I may be subjective)

This was our first visit to Malcesine and the Hotel Catullo provided a very good base to explore the area. The hotel was very good and provided all services to a high level. The Staff were friendly and very helpful.The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old town and is in a quiet and peaceful location. We would recomend this hotel to our friends.

I thought our stay was generally excellent. The hotel is well situated with friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful scenery with a very nice pool and well equipped gym. The only minor complaint was the size of the bathromm, but, that was no real problem

Great place to stay with welcoming hosts plus great location. Only problem for us is that the air con in the rooms were not working at the time of our stay, though we would have no problem recommending the hotel and we would stay there again.

Wonderful. Hotel is close to town centre (3 mins walk) but wonderfully quiet with lovely grounds. Excellent pool. Excellent breakfasts. Very convenient for cable car. Good sized room. Pleasant hospitality. We'd highly recommend this small, quiet, hotel. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Lake view from room, and Lakeside only 5 mins walk away. Ferry to other lakeside towns only 6 mins walk away. Don't bother with a car rental! (Couple in late 50's).
