Hotel Alpino - Malcesine

This hotel is a real gem in every aspect.We expected a real budget affair with the price we paid and the star rating. The proprietors are magnificent in everything they do for you.The Restaurant/Breakfast Staff are amazing especially the main waiter in the Restaurant with his wireless order processor.Beware the food is almost upon you as he keys your drinks order last which is good if you're in a hurry but not if you want a bit of time.Just mention it and nothing is too much trouble.The position could not be better either.WELL DONE HOTEL ALPINO & thanks for a wonderful week.

This was my second time at Hotel Alpino. It was as nice and well located as before. Enjoyed it again. Breakfast is European: lots of white wheat, tinned fruits, cereals, jam etc. I would have preferred more fresh fruits, dark bread, porridge, tomato, cucumber and so on. The hotel has a very nice lady in the reception. Very helpful. We happened to have a room over kitchen and the noise was there. But it was not too bad. The balcony was nice to have: view to the mountain and to the lake. Perfect. I would go again to this hotel. We came to Verona airport and took a shuttle (agreed beforehand with the hotel) which pick us up and took us to the bus station (bus stop) in Malcesine. THe hotel is on the left, down the hill. Easily findable.

It's really noisy in the room because of shutters and thin walls.

Very friendy and service minded personnel. The restaurant at Alpino is also very good value for money. Personnel fast and very good service was provided.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful, great hotel for the price and would definately recommend it to anyone, owners give 10% discount to residents in the hotel restaurant, which served great quality food and very reasonable prices.

We had a wonderful stay. Chose the hotel on the basis of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. Granted a 2 star hotel but that seemed irrelevant as very clean, nice big room, very welcoming, lovely restaurant, and a fantastic location (photos do not do it justice). Would definately recommend and would love to stay again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and airy and the balcony was very pleasant for watching the world go by. Location is very central. We will return.

This hotel offers excellent value for money,the welcoming receptionist was most obliging and offered me a choice of rooms - a single with balcony or a double for single occupancy,even though the hotel was busy,she also made sure I had all the appropriate discount cards available to guests-on observation I would say the majority of visitors do not realise these cards give discounts on the boats and the funicular and pay full price and then complain!Visitors to the town should be aware that this is a very lively,busy resort and the nightlife does go on well into the early hours with the attendant noise from the street,bars,live music etc,and the dustmen start at 05.00!Not sure if there are many rooms facing away from the street,but the sun coming up over Monte Baldo brightened my morning wake up.Easy to reach from boat and parking directly in front.

Breakfast-average. evening meal-poor. lunch-average. room-v.small;v.warm(no air con-only small fan) noise from neighbouring rooms and outdoor music until early am. very convenient position.

The relation price vs accommodation was good. For the modest price I paid, the room was small, but clean. It's nobody's fault that it was right besides the elevator and above the market place (a little noisy). The personnel was very friendly and the food good.

Breakfast excellent and plenty to choose from. Hotel being in the centre of Malcesine a lovely position and this is the second time I have returned to this hotel as they make you very welcome and your pets.

We appreciate the welcome, the mangement support was outstanding. we enjoy the food in the hotel restaurant. The hotel location is excellent.

Good central location for harbour,boats and buses.Lots of good restaurants within walking distance including their own restaurant. Nice out of season break.Early October - a good time to go although sun does go down early and does not come up over the mountain till 1000 am.Malcesine is a beautiful and central location to enjoy Lake Garda.

Hotel was ideally situated right in the heart of the town. we had one meal in the hotel which was excellent and very good value. the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo. Camere grandi e pulite. Il parcheggio dell'hotel e' troppo piccolo e quindi abbiamo dovuto parcheggiare a pagamento.

We were in Malcesine for 5 days for our son's wedding at the castle. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect for accessing everything in the town.The staff were very friendly and helpful letting me use their steam iron to press our wedding outfits.They organised transport back to Bergamo by taxi for us at a very reasonable price. Our room had a lovely terrace looking straight up to Monte Baldo which was wonderful. The food at the hotel restaurant was great as it was at all the other restaurants we visited. Walks along the Lake either way were beautiful as was our visit to the top of the mountain. We look forward to going back to do some of the things we didnt have time for this visit.

One of our rooms was on the street side. There was going to be a market on the square just beside the hotel on saturday morning. So early in the morning when the market was being build up there was plenty of noise. In the other room on the lake side of the hotel we did not hear a thing.

This is a great value for money family run hotel. The hotel ouners are very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was good and above avarage. The hotel restaurent is very good, and not expansive. I recommend this hotel, and would definately come back to it. Don't forget to take the cable car to mount baldo.

Fine italian restaurant belongs to the hotel

Came to Malcesine with my friend for another friend's wedding in the castle. The hotel was clean and the staff very welcoming. The location was fantastic, very central, although the steep hill caused problems with the suitcases. Transfers through the hotel were good and very cheap. The restaurant was fantastic and very good value for money.

Very near Macesine center - but due to this, not quiet!!! We didn't sleep at the first night and slept hardly during the second. Town is crowed with british people - that's the reason, why it's not quiet during the night ... Breakfast at medium quality - we saw bread, that you couldn' eat any more ...
