Very helpful with giving directions over the phone as we arrived in the dark and were lost very quickly in Malaga! But the staff got us to the hotel with clear instructions. Also we arrived at 10.15pm, and were able to have a lovely meal and relax before we went to bed. Believe me, that would not happen in most scottish hotels!

Villa Guadalupe is a little way out of the city centre and is on a steep narrow lane. That apart, the advantages include views across the whole city. We were particularly impressed with the restaurant, which is spacious and serves good food and wine, with a balcony and panoramic views seaward. We chose to have the plate of the day, for our evening meals, and requested the person serving not to let us know what was on the menu. We were fully satisfied each time. A pleasant and interesting experience. The general surroundings are attractive. The swimming pool was a bit small for a 'pool- side' holiday, but okay for a quick dip. At dusk, there was a symphony of barking dogs, from the hillside below, which did not detract but rather amused us. Driving into the city centre took us about 15 minutes, once we had got used to the road system. On arriving for the first time, we found the map a bit confusing and went into town rather than away, after leaving the Autopista.

You need your own transport for a great stay at this lovely hotel on the edge of Malaga but only 5-10 mins easy drive from the centre. We stayed 3 nights, had a pleasant room with a great view over the city, especially at night, from our private balcony/terrace. The room was clean, tidy and everything worked superbly including free wifi in the public areas. There is no noise from outside but sound insulation internally could be a little better - we were woken by our neighbour's crying baby - but could hear no talking. The staff were very helpful and we would definitely stay again when visiting Malaga - no hesitation whatsoever.

Beautifull (artistic) hotel and remarkable view on Malaga. Friendly employees, the owner also spoke Dutch. Quiet rooms, an ideal place to stay after a flight. Good breakfast (not included).

Very nice modern hotel with amazing view and right over a cliff! It is off the beaten path, would need a car to get there, but very nice and good value for money.

We had a very nice room with a view of the city and harbor. the staff were very helpful and compedent. We were suprised at how nice the hotel was as the photoes donot do it justice,. But you MUST HAVE A CAR, as this hotel is off the beaten path, at the top of a mountain. The food at the hotel is very expensive!

We did not like Malaga. So the stay was a little bit annoying. As previously stated from other guests, food at the restaurant was good, but quite expensive. Pool has micro dimensions. Looks more like a big bath tub, then a real pool.

We were nevertheless satisfied, the swimming pool was so dirty (yellow) that it was impossible to bathe and our room(chamber) looked onto a construction site.

This villa which has only been open for 4 years, is clean and beautifully decorated. There is a nice dining room and another dining area on an outside terrasse. The food we chose from the menu was excellent. Breakfast is adequate and is a "help-yourself" small buffet with fresh and packaged breads, fruit, cheese, some meat and hard-boiled eggs. After the second day, we realized that whatever had been set out for breakfast the day before was set out again, perhaps with more cheese/additional fruit, etc. Rooms are very clean as are common areas. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room opposite a couple who had 2 dogs which barked whenever someone walked by the door. One major consideration when staying here is that there is no 24 hour desk and, in fact, there is generally noone at the desk until at least 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Bills must be paid the night before leaving and any questions or arrangements needed must be handled then as well. There is access to a pool at a neighboring property but the pool did not look inviting since it appeared not to have active filtration. The staff is accommodating and several spoke English quite well. Anyone staying here must absolutely have access to a vehicle since the villa is located north of Malaga in a lovely, private neighborhood. Use of cabs would be cost prohibitive, we feel.

Beautifull outlook, with views of the coastal area & the Mediterranean, nice restauirant & patio to enjoy a drink overlooking the sundrenched town of Malaga. Friendly & competent staff, good rooms, but finding the place was a little difficult- after you get close there are signs to the place but there is a bit of "no mans land"after you leave the roundabout referred to in the directions.

Villa Guadalupe was exceptionally clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. The rooms were amply sized, well appointed and comfortable. Location high above Malaga with panaromic view of the city and the Mediterranean. The hotel restaurant menu, wine list and service were excellent. Convenientally located to the Malaga airport, with parking available if you're driving.
