Hotel Room Mate Larios - Málaga

Hotel Room Mate Larios was again excellent, really friendly & helpful staff, the room was large with excellent facilities. Little things the toiletries being replaced if used each day was very good. The location is fantastic as all the best places to eat and drink are easily walkable and it is handy for the airport bus.

We were 4 nights in Malaga. Location is in the centre. You are on walk distance of all places. If I come back in Malaga, I will take the same hotel.

The roof terrazza was closed/private! The room had no minibar!!! The TV did not work....... No help from the reception..... This was not what we expected- We will never choose Room Mate hotels again

First room offered smelled horribly of smokers, but they happily exchanged it for an even better room. Our room overlooked a street on which Holy Week processions occur, so we had a 10:30 pm parade below our window on my birthday. Very nice ;-) Breakfast buffet simple but adequate.

Great sense of hospitality. I recomend it to everyone.

Excellent hôtel très bien situé. Il faut se garer dans un des pakings publics à proximité. L'hôtel donne ensuite un ticket qui coûte 5 Euros pour la nuit jusqu'à 9h du matin. Pour accéder quand même à l'hôtel pour les bagages par exemple, depuis le 1 juillet 2009, la rue d'accès est barrée par une borne, il faut sonner et dire qu'on va à l'hôtel Mate Larios.

Great for a stop-over. Excellent location near sights. Airport bus stop minutes away. Negative: public areas cold / shabby. Breakfast mediocre.

A clean Hotel with really kind employees but too expensive for this normal quality

Although the hotel entrance is obvious when you see it, it would be helpful to know WHERE on the street it is, and that the hotel sits on the first floor above shops. I walked past a couple of times at 22.30 in the dark!

First time at this hotel - very pleasantly surprised by location and room quality. The breakfast served in the art-deco bar was very good.

Hotel centralissimo, pertanto impossibile da arrivarci con la macchina, che è da parcheggiare nel parcheggio pubblico sul lungomare. dal piano terra si va alle propri e camere senza passare per la reception che è al primo piano...non è carina sta cosa. cmq ottimo hotel !!!

RIGHT IN CITY CENTRE BUT VERY QUIET/ALL GUESTS WHO WANT TO BE IN A LIVELY BUT "REAL" PLACE WILL BE HAPPY HERE

The hotel was clean and comfortable and well situated. But we were completely misinformed about the access and parking arrangements. We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel, as it is in a pedestrianised area and we were then given a not very helpful map to find the public car park offered by the hotel.

Good location, staff was friendly. Nice rooftop terrace. Would recommend this hotel. *Great tapas at El Trillo around the corner*

This hotel was an excellent stay and priced within reason. The room was clean, spacious, and the staff all spoke english and was most helpful. We highly recommend this nice hotel for anyone traveling through Malaga. Thanks for the memories.

Rooms are excellent (new and clean), the hotel is located in the best area of Malaga - the restored pedestrian area. Reaching the hotel by car is painful as you can do it only by violating one of the "authorized only" access signs to the pedestrian area (differently from what seems from the website). Most likely you will get no ticket in doing that as you are going to the hotel, once in the hotel they will park the car for you.

Hotel Larios was one of the highlights of our stay in the south of Spain. It is a gorgeous hotel located in a fantastic shopping district right in the heart of Malaga. The rooftop bar and restaurant, with a view of Malaga and a backdrop of the cathedral all lit up, is definitely something to see. The music and atmosphere were great and the drinks were outrageously generous pours. To top it all off, during our stay there was a week-long Malaga festival happening during our stay, so we came back at the end of our trip and stayed at the Larios again because we liked it so much the first time around and it seemed to be a hub of activity and celebrations during the festival. For what the Larios offers, it was also good value for money and the staff were professional and helpful. A wonderful experience all around. A++++

Ouir only adverse points were the presence of only one chair in the room, and the absence of non-slip coating to the bath surface. The lower rating for silence arises from being awoken at about 0300 by customers from nearby bars. The view from the terrace is spectacular but the food was less so.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Malaga and in one of the city's most famous streets which benefits from having been pedestrianised. It is an ideal centre for exploring the city and further afield. It is very likely that we shall stay there again.

Larios is a very good City Hotel in Malaga with a good relationship between price and quality. It is very near to the centre, and with a very kind service. We enjoyed our stay.

Superb location on the corner of Plaza de la Constitucion, close to the historic cathedral. Well placed for seeing the sights of Old Malaga as well as shopping. In easy reach of a number of good restaurants and bars. Only disappointment was the breakfast, which did not live up to standards I expect of a 4 star hotel.
