Staff were helpful in providing directions to Wartburg, though warned that it would take an hour to get there and offering to order a taxi. The walk only took about 35 minutes, though it's very hilly, so an hour might be the case if you take it slowly. Hotel has the charm of 100 years, thought has been updated to feel comfortable and modern. Wifi is free, though you need to get a code from the front desk. Breakfast was good value.

The hotel is located in a very busy intersection. In addition, the insulation between rooms is pretty much non-existent. And most of the rooms have no AC. We stayed in August and it was a bit too hot for a comfort sleeping. The 6th floor rooms have AC.

Nice hotel. Very clean room and good service. A bit expansive, not suggested for young peaple. Good for family and worker.

Room Details
All guest rooms of the Mainzer Hof Hotel are comfortably furnished and include a private bathroom with bathtub or shower. All rooms are also provided with direct-dial telephone, minibar, trouser press, radio alarm clock, as well as satellite TV with pay-per-view channels, and complimentary cribs can be requested. Nearly all rooms have fantastic views over Mainz.
