Hotel Il Cantico della Natura - Magione

We stayed for three nights - the views of the Umbrian countryside are fantastic. The tasting menu was wonderful each night, as was the genuine, friendly service. We had a couple of problems (hot water, paying by credit card), but once we let the staff know, they resolved them right away. It's a FARM stay - don't expect perfection; enjoy authentic nature!

Unbelievable place, wonderful the house, the pool and the sourroundings. Just one fault: too expensive!!

First time here. This is not a luxury, five star but rather a gorgeous, family run, small place. We ate every breakfast and dinner in the dinning room, all of which were terrific. Our hot water didn't work for the first day but we simply walked across our little courtyard and used another guest room (that was unoccupied). If you are a fussy traveler who gets bent out of shape at every little issue, don't go here. However, if you want to experience welcoming people, wonderful food, a beautiful setting, inexpensive massage and hydrotherapy, go for a hike, lie by the pool, fantastic. Don't mind the dogs and the little lizards. They won't hurt you. One note, the horseback riding with which they associate is not good. The stables and paddock were so dismal that we declined to go on the scheduled ride. We used this hotel as a base to explore Umbria including Perugia, Assissi, Gubbio and Lake Tressamino, but returned late each afternoon to be home for dinner.

It was a pleasure to spend our New Year's Eve in this place. The area is great, the view is wonderful the service is good and food excellent !

Das Hotel hat eine traumhafte Lage mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Lago Trasimeno. Wir wurden sehr herzlich vom Inhaber empfangen und man hat alles getan, um unsere Wünsche sofort und umfassend zu erfüllen. Die Zimmer waren sehr nett und ausreichend groß, das Frühstück und Abendessen ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Ein rundum gelungener Hotelaufenthalt.

The hotel is located on a top of a hill with a great view to the lake. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. The pool was excellent for swimming after a hot day. If you wanted to eat at the restaurant you must make reservation. The restaurant was nice and meals were good, not heavy. The surroundings around hotel are ideal for taking a walk for seeing the sunset from the top of the hill.

WOW !!!! Incredible views to the valley and lake, while lounging in the pool. Fantastic quiet rooms keeping the orignal features of the building. Breakfast very good, dinner superb, the set menu will keep you going for a week, is traditional and cooked to perfection, dont leave any on your plate or 'Mammas going to be angry'. Lovely surroundings, we went on some great walks accompanied by the two resident sociable dogs. If you are in the area it would be shame to miss this lovely place. Thank you very much for making our holiday perfect.

Séjour enchanteur et dépaysant, parfait pour les amateurs de vieilles pierres et de belle vue. Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié, service attentionné et amical. Le seul bémol serait que l'endroit n'est pas très facile à trouver, mais l'isolement fait aussi partie de son charme... C'est un bel endroit où rester quelques jours pour explorer les sentiers pittoresques, profiter de la piscine et se reposer.

Splendido panorama sul lago Trasimeno. Consiglio di starci più di un giorno per godere della natura circostante.

Straordinariamente bello: se si ama la natura e la rilassatezza è il miglior posto dove sono stato in vita mia (e dire che giro parecchio!). Vista mozzafiato sul lago Trasimeno, struttura fantastica! Cet hotel, situé en pleine nature, porte très bien son nom. Outre la qualité du service en général et la gentillesse de Francesco, la vue sur la lac Trasimeno est magnifique et fait vite oublier la chemin "tout terrain" pour y accéder

We had a very short a lovely stay at Il Contico. Deffinitely a place for romantic couples, that offers you whatever you need.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. It is perfect for romantic breaks, honeymoon, stress-free break of any kind. Not for those who like a lively night life. The restaurant is first class and extremely good value for money. My husband and I are vegetarians and although the restaurant specialises in pork the cook came up with fabulous, imaginative vegetarian meals for us every day, all washed down with delicious organic wine. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to 'get away from it all'.

Superb place to stay with magnificent panorama. Very personal and warm service. Excellent cooking. We will return.

Il cantico della Natura is a wonderful and excellent agricultural farm house. Although it´s web site already gives you a first impression about the beautiness of this location, in reality it is much more better. It is a perfect combination of a lot of wonderful things. Many thanks for these nice days.

IT IS ONLY FOR ROMANTIC STAY AND NOT FOR BUSINESS STAY , FAR AND NOT EASY TO GO ON THE MAIN RAOD TO THE CITY

The approach up an unmade road made us a little apprehensive at first, but when we reached Il Cantico we knew we had arrived in a little bit of paradise. Francesco Micci, family and staff made us so welcome, the views to Lake Trasimeno were breathtaking. The food was superb. I have stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels in over 50 countries, but somehow this little bit of Umbria will forever be in my heart. Outstanding value for money.
