SHS Hotel Aeropuerto - Madrid

Room was just fine for sleeping. The airport was too close to have a good night sleep. (noisy) All staff members were kind, helpful. It might be difficult to get to the hotel from the city. (I took a taxi, the driver didnt know hot to get there from the high way, actually it took long time to get there.) The hotel stuff said it often happen. so if you get there by taxi, you need to make sure if the driver knows where it is.) The other things are all fine.

- The food in the restaurant is not really diversified and it's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery expensive (ex: 8 euros for a bocadillo/sandwich and 9.50 euros for the breakfast with no much choice of food) / La nourriture dans le restaurant était peu diversifiée et trèèèèèèès chère (8 euros pour un sandwich) / La comida es poca diversificada y muyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy carra! - The cleaness of the room and the hotel was perfect. - They asked us if we wanted 2 single beds or a double bed which is very nice, since it was our last night together (until 5 weeks later!). - Service mostly in Spanish, but also English and French to accomodate everyone! ;)

The hotel was ok but i had to wait more one hour to be picked. And i have to wait in madrid airport seeing how the vans from the other hotels came (some of them even twice

We got in too late to think rationally - and did not realize the bad smell in the room was because it was smoking! We are accustomed to NO smoking policy most other places! But we were only there overnite to sleep and make connections at airport. We should have requested a room change - also reviews are correct that it can be a challenge to get to second floor with bulky bags and no elevator. Staff were kind and friendly and shuttle was VERY reliable, which was of utmost importance in making airport connections! Advice: wait and eat at airport! cheaper and better food

Competant staff who spoke good english. Very welcoming and helpful. Good spacious room which was well equiped and clean. Nice restaurant with good reasonably priced menu. Close to airport with short drive by hotel shuttle. Ideal for people overnighting in Madrid and flying out next day. Strongly recommended.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and the price was right. It is not the easiest to find, even the taxi driver got confused with his GPS. There is no elevator to the room, which made lugging bags a problem (no porter appeared to help). There was a nice shuttle service to the airport in the morning for our flight. Nice restaurant/bar to unwind in.

They offer shuttle service to & from the hotel. Take them up on that offer. I swear. The taxi driver had his GPS running while he was trying to find the place & still missed the exit charging over 30 euro FROM the airport - and it's an Airport Hotel!! It is quite the distance from the airport -> hotel because of wierd highway exits. It IS, however, very spacious & clean. Above average for a place to crash before a 6am flight.

Las habitaciones muy espaciosas. Baño grande y muy limpio. Hay un transfer que te recoge del aeropuerto (hay que llamar a la llegada) y también te lleva al mismo.. gratis. Queda cerca al aeropuerto (lejos del centro), pero la parada de Bus (Fabrica Pegaso) está al frente del hotel, por lo que es fácil movilizarse y llegar al centro. Lo único malo es que el servicio de internet es super caro...

The hotel is OK for a transit stay in Madrid. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to/from the airport. However, one has to call for the bus (20c from a public phone, the nearest phone located inside the terminal) Make the call first, and then leave the terminal. The breakfast costs 8 euro, which seems to be overprized for the food offered. In addition, if you have a bulky luggage, it can be a hassle to take the bags into your room, if the latter is located far away from the reception area or/and at the second floor (note the stairways, no elevator). If you have a bulky luggage, ask for a room at the first floor. Otherwise, good value for the money.

Is important to improve restaurante service

The hotel's main advantage is its proximity to the airport with a shuttle connection, yet one should not wait for the shuttle ("every 20 minutes") but rather call the hotel directly and they send it then. I stayed there overnight waiting for the connection flight. The WiFi signal was very in my room, but strong in the lobby. The hotel restorant is overpriced, and the surroundings is an industrial area, thus the choice is almost nil. The only alternative across the fence is twice less expensive. The place is suprisingly quiet, given its proximity to the airport.

Fantastic food, I really appreciated the 7am check-in as I was on a flight that landed very early in the morning. The free airport shuttle is also brilliant. More channels in English would of been appreciated but other than that i was very impressed.
