The hotel is in a great location and I have stayed there for many years and will definitely return, but they need to work harder to stay competitive in the Spanish market where standards can be high. 1) rooms need a general upgrade e.g. new flat screen 32inch TVs, better beds, etc; but bathroom is excellent; 2) hotel reception staff are often fantasticly helpful, but a couple were aloof and uninterested in customer service and communication and very dour, which really annoys the paying customer 3) breakfast was average and the waiters were poor and below quality for this type of hotel

The Vincci Madrid Centrum is centrally located and within walking distance to the main areas of the city. It is unfortunate though that this is all that this hotel has going for it. The room I was allocated had no natural sunlight, as the window faced a wall. Luckily I was on a business trip and did not spend much time in the room. The services are poor, with no wi-fi access beyond the second level. The entrance to the hotel had an unpleasant odour of a "drain". All in all this hotel is not worth the stay.!

I came for trip. But, I dislocated my job. Hotel officials did not do anything about the date change. I do not intend to stay again.

Main issue with this hotel was the lack of adequate lighting in the room. The lights (and the decor in general) were certainly "moda" (in the Italian sense), they were not very useful for reading, make up, etc. The staff were also rather perfunctory upon check-in. The wi-fi in-room was costly but the direct connect to hi-speed in-room was free. Kind of pricey for what one gets in this facility.

If you need to work, take a LAN cable, their wireless internet is free but low speed. Very convenient location for central Madrid and in a quiet street. Good for vacation, not so good for work as no desk in room.

The price is too high for the quality. Especially if you are staying single. But on the other hand the hotel is very near to the center.

We loved the hotel. The staff was especially nice, the rooms extremely clean, and the location was perfectly centered between all the major sites in Madrid. The morning breakfast was amazing!

Small, noisy, extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Rooms appear MUCH larger in the photos, and the street the hotel is on is dirty and ugly. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

First time stay at hotel. Rooms are quite small. The hotel was going for trendy style over classic or lasting decor. The hotel lacked quality appointments or detailing. It was a little shoddy--not well executed. Would not stay here again, although the location was great.

When we arrived we were told that there was a "problem" with some of the rooms... we could not tell if it was a physical problem with the room or a booking mixup. They transferred us to another hotel belonging to the chain only a couple of blocks away and had a porter take our luggage. The room was nicely appointed, but the window was to an inside, inaccessible courtyard (more like a large light tube). The second day we were transferred back to the originally booked hotel and were put into a tiny room with a window to the street that was quite loud. We requested a room change and were then given a larger better located room. We did not know if the hotel rate included breakfast and check with the maitre who said it did. The breakfast was very good. Later upon check-out we were told it was an error, and found the breakfast to be quite expensive. The hotel does not have internet service except for a kiosk with an expensive flat rate per session. The location was very convenient. The front desk staff have a tendency to give the telephone more attention than the guest standing in front of them. At this price I would look for a hotel with more services.

The staff were competent enough and the hotel was close enough to all we needed to see, but we were given a room with no windows (well a window looking into a lift shaft). Not a very appealing aspect...

This review is based on the Vincci Soho, as when our group arrived at the Vincci Madrid, we were told there were "no lights" on the 7th and 8th floor... I take that to mean they did not have our reservation. I am not sure if that was the fault of venere.com or the hotel itself. We arrived at the Vincci Soho to chaos, the hotel had only recently opened and was not ready for business. They have not given their staff any customer service training, as all staff, including management, were unhelpful and rude. The staff made our short stay in Madrid very stressful and ruined our weekend by their rude attitude and also causing us stress by telling us the next day that we all had to leave as they were "full". After creating some fuss the manager came along and must have waved a magic wand, as he then said we could stay... The rooms were not finished, and the keys to rooms did not work, we had 5 rooms, so this was not just related to 1 room. Wires and cables still hanging from the ceilings, no toiletries or mini bar in some rooms etc. Don't waste your time or money.

Wonderful hotel located in the very center of Madrid. Great base to explore all of Madrid, and very close the the Seville Metro stop. There are numerous restaurants nearby, Puerto del Sol shopping area is a short walk away, and the musuem 'Golden Triangle' is just down the street. Rooms were very contemporary and well decorated. Rooms facing the street have some street noise, sirens etc, but overall noise was not a big issue.

we did not mention it to staff but the hotel did smell. not to overpowering but a definate odour of toilet drains. Bathrooms in room had no ventilation so it was worst here although it was still evident in the hotel as a whole. Still like the hotel but would not return for this reason.
