You can't be more centrally located, within short walking distance from both the Palace and the Prado. Even though Victoria is the liveliest street at night, the windows block most of the noise. No problem sleeping. Air-con is modern and quiet. Breakfast is mediocre, I'd suggest having it elsewhere.

We spent a family leisure weekend in Madrid (16-19 years old kids). The staying in Hotel Victoria 4 was overall quite satisfying. Position is the top one (behind la Puerta del Sol, walking distance from every attraction in Madrid). Regardless the abundance of bars and restaurants alla round, the acustic isolation of the room worked quite well, and we were not disturbed at all during the night. The 4-people room was absolutely comfortable, and very clean. The staff (as most Spanish people) were nice and helpful. Price was adquate to what was offered. Unique drawback: the breakfast, served in the adjacent bar at ground floor, is included in the room fee, but quite unsatisfying (machine coffee, disappointing croissants,...). I would suggest to have the breakfast outside, Madrid is full of nice bars.

My room couldnt be locked from inside ( didnt have a chain lock) and as when I check in, by mistake I put my key card in another room and the door onpened, at nighr I put a table in the door as secure measure. The location is very good with a supermarket/grocery near and many places to eat/drink nearby.

Fantastic central location to the Puerta del Sol, the heart of Madrid and one of the main piazzas. Walking distance to many sights, and only a few mins walk from the metro. Fantastic bars and retaurants nearby. HIGHLY recommend El Rocio tapa (Passaje Matheau 2) to the right and right again after leaving hotel. The Irish pub next to it also had 4 Euro mojitos too to finish off the night. Room was fine with plenty of space, shower over bath and free internet - just had to ask for an ethernet cable downstairs. breakfast was usual continetal fare in a room in the cafe next door and was fine. Was able to pull up out the front to unload the bags from our car. Didn't use hotel parking as took hire car back after dropping bags as did not need in Madrid. Only downside is the terrace did not have any tables or chairs??? Could have been a nice place to hang out otherwise.

The hotel was located in the city centre. Great location, very advisable for people like me that went to Madrid for a few days just to party! But the metro station was also very near, so if I wanted to do some sight seeing, it would have been possible.

The rooms and hotel were very clean. Internet service in the room. The staff were helpful. The location is great although our room faced the street and by Wednesday, this made the room very noisy. (Cafe patrons now smoke just outside the various buildings, i.e. on sidewalks under & across from windows.) The breakfast is mediocre but serviceable. All in all, a good value, but get a room that does not face the street, particularly if you will be there Wednesday thru Sunday.

Hotel Victoria 4 is situated right in the middle of Madrid's City Center, with many major sights in walking distance. And the Metro station "Sol" is just 200 metres away. I highly recommend this hotel because of its surroundings and of the interior. Our room was spacy enough and very clean. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast in the restaurant belonging to the same house was good, with fresh fruits and really good juices besides different types of bread and crossaints, assorted cold meat and marmalade. Even if the restaurants and bars are all around the hotel the room was quiet, with only little noise to be heard through the window. I will definately stay at Hotel Victoria 4 again.

Excellent value for a good hotel in a major city. Our rooms were available immediately, even though we arrived mid-morning, which was more than we expected. The room was very comfortable, with excellent bathroom. The location is very convenient for major attractions and there are many places to eat nearby. Very convenient also to the Metro. We would stay there again.

This Hotel for us was in a perfect location, just outside Old Madrid. It was a 10 minute walk to the Prado Museum, and the Palace. It is off of the Plaza that noise was almost non-existent. The room was clean, lots of hot water, the A/C worked. We heard from another couple staying at a 5 start that their A/C was not working. There is a great Irish bar across the street, for a nice Guinness night cap. Next time to Madrid I will stay here again.

Madrid is a fantastic City, this hotel is in a great spot. Sol station (The centre of Madrid, and Spain for that matter is 5 mins walk away) The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The only downside I found was that the surrounding area is very vibrant and not great if you want peace and quiet, but if you want that don't stay in the centre of Madrid.

I really enjoyed my stay at Victoria 4. The rooms were very comfortable but a little tight in space. I just loved the location of the hotel. Everything is walking distance from there and Sol metro station is a few steps away. Most of all the breakfast is excellent and everything is so well stocked. Though the room is small for breakfast but never ever had to wait for a table. It was a treat to have some fresh fruits for breakfast. Serving breakfast is a real bonus. I would definitely stay back again!

Location of the hotel is perfect regarding the center of the town and walking distances to all major museums, galleries, theaters, metro, plazas, etc. The best help that we got from the hotel staff was from David --he was speaking perfectly English and was ready to answer any question, print maps, give walking directions, prices, etc. He is the warm gentle very professional young man. We truly appreciate his work and care!!!!!!!!!!! Advice for all who plan to choose this hotel: breakfast choice was good and plenty, room has a big bathroom, foyer, plenty of closets, nice small balcony--you'll be satisfied. BUT!!!--be ready to "special" life style in Madrid--crazy crowds filled not by tourists but by drunk crazy teenagers and weird personalities with tremendous amount of beggers and homeless, trash and grafitti around, there are several bars that open 24/7 with crazy customers in and out, there are a lot of pickpockets that work so virtuously that you don't feel anything (they stole our camera from pocket of my wife's coat in a second, although we didn't have any problems in Barcelona, Figueres, Costa Brava, etc). It's just famous unpleasant Madrid's common problem, and although you are really staying in the heart of the town you still have to remember about crime in Madrid-:(

Victoria Hotel is located in the center of Madrid, just a walk to porta del sol. Our room (307) was located at the 3rd floor. The room was in line with our expectation: cleaned, conditioned and large enough. Another important issue: the room was very quite, even if several bars and resturant were down in the street. Hotel Victoria is an ideal base to visit Madrid: the metro is just a 200 mt from the Hotel and porta del sol just after the corner. Goog also the brackfast, included in the price. Reccomended

This hotel was perfect - exactly where I wanted to be, walking distance to everything. With 2 teenagers we all had our own twin bed which was unique and appreciated. The bathroom was a little interesting - 1/2 a door for the stall shower but we discovered that's common in Spain. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here for easy access to everything, clean rooms, nice breakfast and an awesome staff

This was our first time in Madrid. We stayed 3 nights after having 7 nights in Marbella, Spain on the Mediterranean Coast. Loved Madrid and the big city. Hoteal was very clean, modern and enjoyable. Location is in Central Madrid, Great location. Area is a little scary at first but you learn that if you are careful you will be fine. Walking distance to three main museums - Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen.
