Senator Gran Vía 21 Hotel - Madrid

Very nice hotel, luxury in the middle of Madrid and not too expensive. Staff competent and helpful. Will be back again.

Unfortunately for myself and my family we arrived at the hotel on sat evening as we were going to a football match. we left our stuff in the room and when we came back my purse which i had hidden in amongst our luggage had been robbed and all our money taken. the staff were not that helpful they just said it should have been in the safe so this really spoiled our trip to spain.

Clean & nice hotel, excellent position. our reservation did not include breakfast (14€/each for breakfast!?!!)but great to be there!we'll be back!

Great location right in the middle of everything. The views of the Gran Via are fabulous, next to lots of bars, restaurants, shopping,metro,etc. The Via is loud but the rooms are very quiet (double paneled windows), the beds are comfortable and they even are adjustable (bonus!). The bathrooms are clean and spacious and the hotel had WiFi and free mini bar. We only had a few days in Madrid to spend so this location was perfect.

This hotel is very well located at the city center. However it needs some improvements.

Second time we stayed at this hotel.Excellent location. You can walk to all major attractions and metro only a few steps away. Although located on Gran Via the trafficnoise was no problem when windows were closed.

Great location, good service and facilities are ok. This is a good place to stay in Madrid and pay reasonable prices.

Ottimo Hotel , eccezionale per turismo e / o affari. Purtroppo la stanza da noi occupata era vicino all'ascensore e quindi di notte molto fastidioso . Altra mancanza , le indicazioni sul web con errata indicazione della fermata del metro ( espana ) anziche' Granvia proprio di fronte all'hotel.

Excelent Location. Small room but cozy... Nice and Clean. Front desk very helpfull. I'll repeat it in my next visit to Madrid.

An excellent hotel in the centre of town, ideal for touring.

Excellent location and good price but you have to do your own planning ( tours, restaurants ) because the hotel staff is useless.

A great place to stay & lovely to return to after a hard day shopping - especially the free champagne and fruit. The beds were brilliant & even included the ability to angle them. As two single travellers it was a pleasure to have two double beds in the room, although a little disappointed that we did not get our non-smoking room. Showers were good and had great pressure. A good location for walking everywhere, and easy to get to using the Metro. Staff were helpful on places to eat and shop - the main reason for our visit to Madrid. On a whole we had a lovely time in this hotel and would stay here if we were to return to Madrid.

Todo me ha parecido muy bien, especialmente la atención y amabilidad de todo el personal en general. No obstante que la habitación que tuve era un poco estrecha, tenía todo lo que una persona puede necesitar. Sobre el desayuno hay tres aspectos particulares: poca variedad y la calidad podría mejorar, el precio un poco alto para lo que ofrecen, finalmente los meseros podrían presentarse mejor y ser un poco más atentos con los huéspedes.

I stayed at the Senator Gran Via for 3 nights and couldn't be happier with my stay. The location is unbeatable and acceible to everything. We intended to learn how to use the metro but didn't need to! Very affordable and the staff were always friendly and extremely helpful. The room had a balcony and was very spacious with lots of extras (including the basic shampoo/lotion/soap, but also toothbrush, razor, toothpaste, comb, and mints!). The staff even had transformers to convert the plug outlet that you could borrow at no charge. The only time we did use the metro subway was to go to the bullring (Plaza de Toros) which was only 5 stops or so away without having to transfer lines. A great hotel in an ideal location in the city centre and close to LOTS of shopping and all the main sights.

I WOULD RECOMEND MY FREINDS AND FAMILY TO STAY AT YOUR HOTEL. ROOMS WERE BEAUTIFUL ESPECIALLY THE TOP FLOOR WERE YOU ARE HUGE BALCONY COMPLETE WITH CHAIRS IF YOU LOVE THE SUN.

We were very impressed with this hotel. We stayed there for our honeymoon and received a complimentary bottle of champagne & fruit basket (a welcome surprise to us both!)

Occorre stare attenti a cosa si lascia in camera. E' sparita una spilla (di poco valore commerciale ma di valore affettivo) che era attaccata ad una maglia a collo alto, molto probabilmente durante la pulizia della camera.

Excellent hotel in an superb location. The hotel is located directly beside the Gran Via Metro Station and is only 30-40 mins journey from the airport. The staff were more than helpful and the rooms at the front of the hotel offer a great view of the bustling Gran Via. Would definitely return to this hotel.

There was just a problem. When booking we got a price including breakfast. At paying time breakfast was charged additionally. I have presented a complain and made a request for refund (30,00 €) but until today did not get any answer.
