Hotel Room Mate Laura - Madrid

The hotel is in a very good position only 3 minute on foot to plaza mayor and puerta del sol. The room (studio) are very confortably and spacious; a flow is the pressure water in the bathroom very very low.

A wonderful hotel in terms of location, staff and rooms. However, one side of the hotel is very noisy from the bars and motorcycles in the street. Make sure you ask for a quiet room. We changed rooms after one sleepless night, and were very satisfied.

Hotel befindet sich in zentraler Lage, das heisst bei schönem Wetter bis halb vier Uhr nachts "Party" auf den Strassen.

Very helpful front desk staff. Nice breakfast. The hotel is within minutes of the pedestrian shopping streets yet quiet with rolldown shades.

***** I love this hotel!!! It more than met my expectations the first time I stayed there, and each subsequent time as well (total 6 times in two years). Everything was superior, IMO, including and especially the wonderful staff, whom I cannot praise highly enough. All the reception personnel were consistently extremely helpful, courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable about the hotel and Madrid, competent, efficient, personable and professional at all times. They made every effort to make my stay comfortable and always made me feel welcome and at home there. In a critical medical situation I had to deal with during one visit, they were invaluably helpful and supportive, for which I will be eternally grateful. Another great feature of the hotel, among many others, is the wonderful breakfast buffet, served until noon (!), which I always enjoyed and looked forward to every morning. The housekeeping staff are great -- very friendly, helpful and efficient, keeping the rooms and public spaces very neat, clean and fresh. I also really appreciated the wi-fi system, which worked well for me. The hotel is very conveniently located near metro and bus transportation, shopping, restaurants, interesting streets, the historic Monasterio de las Descalzes Reales and is a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. I feel the price/quality ratio and overall experience are excellent. Unreservedly recommended!

Wonderful hotel - wonderful helpful staff and great breakfast - they even had soya milk!! We were upgraded to a suite - spacious and beautiful. My only complaint was a slight musty smell - although everything was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was large and clean. Great position - I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is fine if you like minimalism and design - no public areas, no great hotel atmosphere and the duplex was a nightmare as it was steep. The location is great though and it was fine for a weekend. Think I prefer the bog standard hotels myself. Close to Descalzas reales which is handy as it has very obscure opening hours. As I had lived it Madrid and never got to see it in 14 years, finally did the Sunday I was there.

Luca was the individual at the front desk most of the time during our stay and he was fantastic. He gave us great suggestions and would always remember us when we walked in and asked how "the museum" was or whatever we were doing that day. Honestly, we always looked forward to seeing if he was at the front desk. He was so accomodating and gracious that he made our stay that much more enjoyable. The only issue we had was that it was loud most nights outside of our hotel room and the lady in the room next to us was very loud on her phone so we could hear her conversation through the wall, but everything else was great.

I loved the hotel , my room was very big and nice. The hotel is very well located, it is great for tourism. I would recomemend for all, except for disable people , there are stairs to get the hotel

Staff spoke English very well and were extremely helpful with directions, recommendations, and local information. Received a room upgrade. Great breakfast included in price. Very convenient location near historic center of city. Impossible to find! Located on a tiny side street, behind construction vehicles with no lighted sign outside. We parked our car (at night) in the neighboring underground garage and walked around the block several times before we finally saw the sign as we approached from a different direction.

The staff is lovely, especially Luca. The location could not be better. The whole atmosphere is very modern and creative. The only negative point is a litlle bit of noise (not from outside, but from other rooms and lobby). I recomend the hotel.

Our room was sexcellent, very spacious, modern decor and loft style sleeping area. Hotel staff are extremely friendly, the location is superb and breakfasts are really good with lots of choice. The only thing to beware of is that the steps to the loft area are very very steep and narrow - you wouldn't want to be doing that if you have any joint problems or after a heavy night out.

Marvellous place!!!We enjoyed our stay very much, like all the other visitors. Thanks! Try to get a room with view on the square. If you like to use the kitchenette, you have to ask for the key. But of course you better have churros outside, or a marvelous lunch/dinner. Good place for eating: la Finca de Suzanna. The hotel is worth every compliment we did read already about.And have a visit to the cloister next door; also a great experience.

I found the Hotel very comfortable, friendly and very good value. The location was very good as it was right in the heart of Madrid, so perfect to visit the many sights around the city.
