I did not have hight expectations with regard to the Principe Pio Hotel because I knew nothing about it before ordering a book online, but when it comes, I could tell that was what I was looking for quiet environment, good personal treatment, room clean, a quiet and very good rate. Back to my country very happy and satisfied with the stay, I recommend it to anyone wishing to spend some time on it.

Good hotel, the location is very good. The breakfast was very poor in terms of quality of the products and not quantity. Peach and Pineapples cans, cheese and ham the most cheap, juice not so good, but overall the hotel is good.

Nothing particularly good or bad about this hotel. No character. Very basic 3 star. I don't think I would stay here again.

People nice and welcoming. Room on 6th floor with nice view on park and castle. Two issues : wifi connection appears no to be on control and lack of kettle in the room. Car renting service very convenient with attached car park.

The staff was very nice and service-minded. The hotel is situated close to the central city and with walking distance to several monuments and sights.Room-service was excellent.

I think, It's a "revival" hotel, classic" seventies fournitures, but "derly loved". The situation is excellent; near of Sabatini gardens, Palacio real, Austrias distric, is to tell, in the heart of Madrid. Notwithstanding, is a typical hotel for traveller people, that like walking the city in his free time or holidays. It's not "bussines" class hotel.

I stayed with my Girlfriend and the hotel is excellent in terms of its service. The best thing is the proximity to all places which are just at walking distance aor just convinient by cabs. Staff speaks very good english and are helpful in all aspects. I will definately stay at same place next time to Madrid and will recommend this place to anyone who travels.. Had an excellent stay in Madrid.

The lift got out of order while the stay. Our room was on the 7th floor so climbing up was a hard work. The hotel staff was friendly and kind.

The Hotel Principe Pio is a good value for Madrid. We paid about US$100/night for a double room. The hotel is located close to the Plaza de Espana, across the street from the gardens of the Royal Palace. It is on a busy street, but our room was quiet with the window closed. The air conditioning wasn't working when we were there, but it wasn't a big problem in May. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. We didn't use the dining facilities or room service, so I can't comment on them. I would definitely stay there again, but I would make sure the air conditioning was working in the summer!

Please consider the breakfast is not included. I asked for a taxi, and I had to wait for more than 20 minutes due to the fact they called a friend of them.

Rooms at Hotel Principe Pio have an old furniture and an unhygienic carpet. Location and prices are not bad but it doesn't make up for rooms smell very bad and look ramshackle. The staff are a bit unfriendly in the check out

Hotel is fine, though starting to look a little tired. Superb location for the Palacio Real (the gardens of which I could see from my window) which is then close to shopping, Puerta Del Sol and Plaza Real.

I found the property clean and inviting. Staff were very helpful and kind. I did feel however that the price was high for the property, compared to others in the area.

The restaurant is very very poor, and the breakfast also. A very good position. An old fashioned hotel that need very much to be renewed
