Beautiful hotel in good position. In front of hotel there is a bus stop number 23 to go to centre of City(Plaza Mayor). My room was very clean and for me the cleanliness is the most important charachteristic. I didn't use brekfast service in the hotel, because I gone in a coffe near than has lower price. When I will come back to the Madrid, I will go in the same hotel, Praga.

The bedroom wasn't very clean. The reception staff was unkind and old. They weren't interested in helping you and they didn't have good skills in their professional competence. Very good the relation between price and quality. The centre is very near thanks to the underground. The right stop is "Marques de Vadillo"; this station is closed till the end of September of this year.

The hotel is quite central, on bus route and 10 min walk from Metro. Clean modern building, good value, supermarket across the road. Wifi is 4 euro/24 hours. Caters for package tours so staff and elevators can be overwhelmed at times.

The Hotel Praga is a 4 star hotel that acts like a 1 star hotel. Two euros a day for a key to the safe. Four euros a day to use the internet. Three euros for a bucket of ice and the list goes on and on. The walls are paper thin. We were "entertained" by a couple next door having a "romp in the hay". Not pleasant! In the bathroom you can hear your neighbors using their facilities. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from the train station. The nearest Metro station is approximately 1/4 mile away as is the bus stop that will take you to the Prado or Reina Sofia. All in all this is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone.

The only disavantage of this hotel is the distance from downtown. However, as public transportation in Madrid is excellent, that is not a problem. You can go and came back easilly and the price and quality of the hotel compensates the distance. I do recommend Praga Hotel.

Excellent Hotel, clean and spacious, the only downside was that hot water would take a long time to come to the bath.

I got a promotion with a double room for 47 euros. The room was spacious, some neighboors made noise early in the morning, coming back from the breakfast. The beds really were comfortable, the bathroom spacious. Negative point: polite staff but they are not able to smile

Found the staff unwelcoming and not very helpful. Asked for a map of the area, fairly standard everywhere else we've stayed , and got a one word answer..No. No information available in the room and never did find out where breakfast was if we had wanted it. None of this spoiled our stay though.

The first impression was awfull. Rude and unhelpfull staff. If we knew Madrid better we would leave the hotel and booked a room another place. Besides of that it was a ok hotel to stay at. About 10 min. walk from the metro station. 15-20 min. with the metro to downtown Madrid.

Although not in the center, the connections are very good ( bus & subway). I was told that the rooms are provided with WI FI. NOT TRUE ! I was in the room 501, but the connections didn't work. When I called them ( before coming) they simply said that it worked. The rooms are clean, to loud for me in the morning.

Nice clean hotel. Room fairly small, but comfortable. Best thing came as a surprise. Bus #23 stops outside the hotel and ends at Plaza Mayor, the center of town. Most sites are within easy walking distance of Plaza Mayor!

The hotel was OK. I made a mistake with my reservation so I needed to arrive one day earlier, and the rate was by far higher for that extra day, without any consideration despite I was going to stay 3 more nights. If you have phone calls they won't answer them nor will take messages for you.

There is a lot of construction going on next to the hotel at all hours of the night, so it is a little bit noisy. The hotel is on the edge of the city which is nice if you plan a trip to Toledo because you don't have to cross the city to leave, however, you will need to take a bus, metro, or taxi to get to the city center as it is not within walking distance. It took us 2 hours to take the bus and metro to get to the hotel from the airport upon arrival. The nearest metro stop is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The taxi ride to the airport when leaving was 35 euros.

On arrival we found the reception staff courteous and helpful, we were "booked in" in less than 5 minutes. Whilst away from the main city centre the hotel is only a short bus ride, 1€, which saw you in the heart of the city excellent service though perhaps a little crowded at peak times! The hotel is large and busy but this did not cause us any concern and no noise!!At the present time a motorway is being constructed close to the hotel but caused us no real problem. If travelling by train alight at Achotta. All in all a good experience and to a good "venere" standard. We would use this hotel again.

The hotel on itself is quite good, but I thought the staff was quite incompetent. I phoned the reception desk for some information and they gave me the wrong one. (police phonenumber) I had to go down and ask again, and they don´t offer any help in case of robbery, like my case.

Typical big tourist hotel, receiving many buses. Not really in the centre but good public transportation. Bus stop to the centre before the entrance! Subway at 800 meter. In the reservation e-mail we asked for a quiet room and received one at the backside, but it was a smokers room. So, we changed for a non smoking room at the street side. Since the hotel is located in a very loud business street this room was really very noisy. The rooms and the whole hotel needs some refreshment in the future, but the rooms are comfortable with nice big bath rooms with marble tiles. The reception people are correct but impersonal. Typical big hotel with good relation price/quality.

Finding the hotel was a little stuggle at first but pointing the map at compleate strangers (not understanding what they were saying) we got there in the end. The hotel is a about a 10 minute walk from the metro which I guess was a nice stroll every morning in the sun. So the entrance of the Hotel is super it looks clean and quite posh. Going for the cheapest rooms in the hotel you do get a mini bar, tv and a safe if needed! Every morning there was a bit of a noise with people trying to close their doors, for some reason its not easy to shut the door (do be warned you wont look a fool trying to lock your door). The surroundings of the hotel are poor and we had a very poor view from our window but for the frice we paid (thats 220 euros for 4 nights) you can not complain can u!!! If I was to go back to Madrid I would choose a different hotel just for a change(but I prefre Barcelona then madrid so i wont be going back! :)

I was promised a price of £ 50 plus tax. When I checked out the bill was more than that plus they have added € 9 for an additional breakfast I did not order at all. On your website it says that it's easy to discover the nightlife because there are a lot of bars and pubs in the area. I went out on the evening of my stay and I could barely see one. The people working at the hotel on the other hand was very nice and welcoming.

Good clean reasonably priced place to stay. Staff where helpful and spoke good english. The only downside was rooms a little noisy, we where on the 7th floor and could hear lots of traffic noise. Hotel only 10 min walk to nearest metro station 10min train to city center for 1 euro, felt very safe.

Our second stay at this hotel and this time we were given a much quieter room on the top floor. The maps remain misleading on the website as to the true location of the hotel so do note that you are not in the centre of Madrid and it is quite a distance to the nearest tube station.

After having difficulty finding this hotel as the location map on the veneer.com website is wrong,we have now stayed here twice, finding the first stay noisy due to our room being at the rear close to the motorway. The second stay was on the top floor overlooking an enclosed inner courtyard but was more peaceful. However, the hotel, despite its location, offered good value for money.

The welcoming at Reception-Desk was very unfriendly und indifferent. The Hotel was in the Map designed as very central near Plaza Mayor, but in Reality it was about 5 KM out of the central situation. The "Calle Antonio Lopez" is four metro stations far from Opera. Hotel Prada then has to be walked on for about 800 meters through the suburban city.
