It advertises as a "four star plus" quality hotel but it is far from it. Although the people at the front desk are willing to help, they all seem college trainees. You would expect the service, personality and treatment of the quality they say to be. The Wellington hotel which is really close to this one (also has a four star rating) is way superior, has concierge, well appointed staff. So my recommendation is to rate the hotel as what it really is, a 3 star, nothing more. During this trip we also stayed at another Petit Palace hotel in Seville (the Petit Palace Santa Cruz) and the same comments apply.

Two comments: (1) it is unacceptable to get a room without bath at a price of over €180/night.(2) The doors to the bathroom were sqeaking Otherwise the hotel is very well located, the personnel is nice and welcoming, service and checkout were quick, and the entrance )as in all the Petit Palaces) is pleasant and esthetic

By car
Once entered Madrid, follow the indications to centro ciudad, Plaza Colón square, Velázquez street, Goya street and then Serrano street. You will find the property at Calle Jorge Juan, on number 17.

By bus
Buses n. 1, 9, 19, 21, 51, 52 and 74 run near the property (Velázquez-Goya stop).
The N4 night bus also stops at Velázquez-Goya.
The shuttle bus to and from the airport stops 85 metres from the hotel.

By underground
The nearest underground stops are Velázquez, brown line 4, and Retiro, red line 2.
