Hotel Maydrit - Madrid

The hotel Maydrit was a great find, perfect for anyone who needs to be close to the airport but who also wants to go into the city.

I stayed at this hotel just to take an early flight back to the states from Madrid. The staff were not pleasant. The hotel was a 21 Euro trip from the Madrid airport (not exactly near the airport). The hotel was away from everything- no small businesses or restaurants in the area. My traveling companion did NOT get her wake-up call which resulted in her missing her flight out of Madrid. My suggestion - don't forget to pack an alarm clock - and use it. For being a hotel that caters to business clientele, the computers were difficult to use and expensive (6 euro for an hour).

The hotel itself is nice and modern and is ideally located near the airport. The airport also provide a free shuttle-bus to/from the airport. On the down side it quite a bit outside of the main town. The hotel appears to be located in the middle of a residential area on the outskirts of the town and there are few facilities nearby. Everything appeared to have quite a large cost attached to it. £14 for breakfast and £10 a day for wifi in your room or in lobby. Whilst the hotel does have a number of TV channels, none are in english. This hotel is perfect for business professionals but not really for leisure.

It was totaly great as an accomodation. but only its location is a little troublesome. I need to take a taxi from and to the airport. I felt it would be a perfect staying if there was a shuttlebus service or something.

We received excellent service. Upon arrival we found we were missing a bag. It had been left on the train from Barcelona. Your front desk clerk (sorry I lost her name), was more than helpful. She made several attempts by phone to locate our bag for us. Ultimately my wife and I had to make the trip back to the train station. She made it very easy for us to find from the metro. (This was our first visit to Madrid.) We ultimately were able to recover our bag! The hotel was spacious, clean, a friendly helpful staff, and a bargain for your dollar. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with the added convenience for families with the park around the corner and the metro located w/in a 5 minute walk. We did not have time to explore but definitely plan to return.

This hotel was modern and convenient. The location is fantastic for distance from the airport and the convenience to the metro to get into Madrid central. I would stay here again - most definitely. The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were simply beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Excellent choice for an airport hotel.

Maydrit is fairly close to the airport for a reasonable price. We booked there for convenience of early morning flight departure. Excellent access to Old Madrid via Metro but very awkward via Metro to airport. Short walk through attractive upscale residential neighbourhood to Metro. Taxi to airport cost 20€ for 2 people/2 suitcases. If you are looking for charm, this is not the place: it's all very modern& glossy, but everything is new and it works. Decor more for looks than comfort. Beds were very comfortable. Not much privacy in bathroom - all glass and open to room. Lots of construction beside hotel but no noise problem, just not a pretty view. Air conditioning was great in heat wave. Windows will open - nice to get a breath of fresh air when it cools off overnight.

It was really a very nice experience at Maydrit, which is confortable and clean. Very near to metro station (less than 5 minutes walk), which needs about 30 minutes to town center.

Es una excelente opcion si se quiere estar varios dias en madrid ya que tiene muy buen precio y la calidad de sus habitaciones es excelente. El unico problema es lo alejado que se encuentra de las zonas de interes, sin embargo su calidad compensa esta situacion.

Spanish men /guys are not really very pleasant in general, so a warm welcome is not something youw ould expect anywhere in Spain unless it is a girl/woman at reception. But the hotel was amazing!! Perfect location for the airport, but wish it was closer to the city center for tourism!!!
