This hotel couldn't be more conveniently located, about 150 metres north of Puerta del Sol and even closer to Gran Via. The only complaints I would have is that the decor is rather tired and the breakfast could be better, especially as they charge an extra €15 for it.

Directions from airport on Venere web site are somewhat misleading. Take the Metro to the Callao metro stop. There is a FNC store at the Callao stop. Walk to the left of the FNC store until you reach Salud. Turn left, Liabeny is right there. Simple enough.

The hotel is in the center, few steps from the most famous monuments. Metro station Sol is just 2 minutes away. The room was clean and perfectly in order. The staff don't speak so well english language. But in total-I was satisfied.

The Hotel Liabeny is a wonderful hotel! It is a few steps from the Puerto del Sol Plaza. The staff are very friendly and competent. One concierge helped us to book our flights online which was a big help since we skipped the long line at the airport at check-in. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is a bit expensive - 16 Euros per person. But there are many good and cheaper breakfast places around the area. One we liked was Le Pain Quotidien on Gran Via. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel, easy access from the metro. The recepcionist in the afternoon seemed sleepy but just that. I had a single room and it was quite small (I can the comparison from other single rooms were I stayed in big cities like Madrid). I think that the price could be a litlle lower but it is a good hotel.

Can't ask for more. Reasonable price and yet both the quality of rooms and service provided is no less than a high-end hotel. I travelled on work and loved every minute of my stay here. The staff were exceptionally helpful and co-operative. Location is fantastic - again, can't ask for a better one! Would definitely return here sometime again in future.

the location can´t be beat-walking distance to almost everything. excellent rate for a 4 star hotel. clean, comfortable rooms in a safe location. some street noise, but that´s because the location is so central. i would definitely stay here again.

This is a good hotel located in the center of Madrid. Most of the places to see are in a walking distance if you like walking. I wish they had a better breakfast.

I was travelling with 2 other friends and we had booked a triple room. On getting to the hotel, we found out we had 2 single beds and a sofa bed. Called reception and was told rudely that we were in the biggest triple room. so we asked to get moved to a 'smaller' triple room with beds joined together or single beds and the man told us that there were no available rooms (so why did he say we were in the biggest in the first place?). We shared the beds cos no one wanted to stay on the sofa bed! Also, was almost charged different from the amount paid on venere.com website, so be careful! On the good side, there was a very helpful man at reception for 2 nights we were there. he helped with our directions and calling a taxi for us when going out in the evvenings. We could hear a lot of noise from the street, but it didn't affect our sleep :) The area is centrally located, you can walk to most of the interesting sites.

For a Brazilian, Europeans working at Hotels lack some politeness. We are used to people being nice, and they are not nice. The impression they give us is that they are doing the tourists a favor to receive them. If you don't like it, it doesn't matter, because there will be more people waiting in line to be assisted. Other than that, the hotel is very good. Lucy Linhares

Very central. Clean, spacious rooms. Only bad thing is that breakfast were not included (as we are use to that in my country) and that the fitness equipment was not as good as expected. Steam bath is not only a shower with steam as said in the facilities. Reception could be more friendly.

I stayed here for almost 28 days. I don't usually write reviews for any hotel, but this one is the best kept secret in Madrid.. It's a gem with reasonable price located in the VERY BEST area of Madrid. Everything famous is within walking distance, puerta del sol, plaza mayor, museums, parks, corte ingles...

To the exception of the cab driver having us driving through the prostitution quarter of Madrid to reach the hotel (I suppose he could well have taken another route!), the stay was very pleasant. Day time, very well located for shopping (right behind Corte Ingles and many other shops) and leisure, this hotel is perfect for Mrs. shopping skills and Mr. waiting at a coffee/bar terrace nearby. Night time, near everything at walking distance. No need for cabs. Will definitely go back.
