Hotel Clement Barajas - Madrid

I booked a room in this hotel online 4 days before arriving to Madrid, 1st week of January 2012. I had a layover in Madrid before heading to my final destination in the States. I really liked the proximity of the hotel to the airport and the 24H free shuttle bus service to the airport. I was able to schedule a pickup for next morning. Shuttle bus operates at the top of every hour during the daytime. Make sure you schedule a wake-up call in case you overslept like I did!! The room was clean. Not very spacious. Amenities offered by the hotel were good for the price. I booked a double room. The room had a safe, a mini-bar with free water and juice. The bed was OK. The toiletries provided included shampoo, conditioner, soap, a toothbrush, a razor, and tissues. The WiFi is free but I had to call the receptionist to get the password. The hotel has a business centre which includes 2 computers and a printer for guests to use. There is a good selection of restaurants at a walking distance from the hotel, including a Burger King. The receptionists were friendly and efficient, even though they had trouble speaking English. The only thing I didn't like was that I was not able to contact the hotel once I arrived to arrange for my pick up since I didn't have a working phone and the phones in the airport were just complicated to operate. I just went to the hotel shuttle bus pickup/dropoff area and kept asking the drivers if they operated for Clemente as they arrived. I think I wasted like an hour of my time going through the whole process before Clemente shuttle bus arrived.

For one night by the Madrid airport you cannot beat the Hotel Clement -- neat places to eat nearby and close to the airport and they have free shuttle service.

Hairdryer, TV and trash can broken Perfect shuttle service

Perfect airport hotel except that shuttle was full and desk called cab which was 15 min late, need to work on that. Otherwise great, comfortable, welcoming, clean and convenient.

The shuttle only runs once an hour and when we checked in, the time we wanted to go to the airport was "full" so we had to go an hour earlier than we wanted to. Our room was a smoking room, but when we requested non-smoking we were upgraded for no charge to a better room. There was an open, half-used bottle of shampoo and body wash in our shower though.

We had one night in Madrid on our way home and we wanted a hotel near the airport. This one was very near, about a 5 minute ride and the hotel shuttle picked us up. Had to wait 25 minutes and the returns in the morning only went on the hour so it wasn't the most convenient shuttle around. We booked a standard room and walked in and right back out - very smokey. We requested a non-smoking room (which we did on the original booking anyway) and we were given an upgrade to a slightly larger room with a balcony which was very nice. I expected an airport hotel to be in an industrial area but was very pleasantly surprised to find that there were several hotels in a nice little neighborhood that was clean and quiet. Plenty of good restaurants around and a nice square where we sat and had tapas. The only negative was the staff at the desk. Check-in was fine but when we tried to get information after that, we were pretty much ignored. But not a big deal.

Good transfer service from hotel to airport at every hour 24h/24.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel which was very comfortable and close to Barajas Airport. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel for overnight stay before or after traveling thru Madrid Barajas airport. Surrounding area not very compelling to visit, just a middle class suburb and not close to the center of Madrid..its an airport hotel. Very clean good rooms with comfortable beds. But great hotel at very reaonable price. Parking at hotel is very tight in the underground parking lot...they have rubber pads on the corners as it is so narrow. Did not eat there. Great sound proofing on windows.

My brother and I overnight at this facility as we had a fairly early flight back to our respective cities - Miami and New York. The staff answered our questions and our rate included pick up and drop off from the airport and hotel as well as a buffet dinner and breakfast.

Shuttle service to airport was excellent and prompt. A good place to stay for quick access to airport!

Superb hotel, handy for airport and MAdrid centre by either bus or metro. Only slight drawback was the wait at the airport for the shuttle bus.

The room was pretended as a non-smoker but it smelled very badly of smoke!! It seemed that the room has been a smoker-room not long ago!!??

We called the hotel upon arrival at the airport for the hotel shuttle service and didn't wait for long. The stuff was very helpful and the room clean and quiet. The only negative point would be the air conditioning. We arrived beginning of Jan and room was cold when we arrived. So we had to switch on the air conditioning by ourselves but then the room was very dry quickly. Overall we have a very pleasant stay, will choose again but maybe not in Winter.

Wonderful value for the money, the Clement Barajas gave me a great stay in Madrid. The staff were very helpful and the rooms in the hotel were great. It is also an easy walking distance from the metro that takes you into Madrid center -- about 30-45 minutes ride with 2 or 3 transfers.

This is the first time we stayed at Clement Barajas. We would stay at this hotel again next time we need to be near the Barajas Airport. The airport-hotel shuttle was great. Very convenient. The room we stayed in is good. Fair size. The gentlemen and lady at the reception were very helpful. Having an internet for hotel guest is a plus.

Very good hotel for its category (airport hotel), close enough to the subway station (although the route to center is than a bit complicated), nice places to have lunch in the area, great buffet within the hotel, good quality of wi-fi. the only thing was that we had to wait a bit fror the shuttle when arriving from the airport the first time (appx. 40 mins) but the next time (we stopped to times at the hotel, on our way to and from Morroco) it was very prompt.

Stayed here before catching our return flight to USA. Hotel very convenient, airport tansfers excellent, room modern, clean and quiet. Even managed to catch the nearby metro to downtown Madrid to sightsee.

Staff were very kind and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite for our second visit and it was absolutely lovely.

This was out last stop before flying out of Madrid. It was a Monday night, and our room boasted a free mini-bar that was sadly stocked with a water bottle, one can of Coke and a small bottle of peach juice. We had experienced a mini-bar at another hotel in Barcelona, and the Clement just seemed like someone's leftover cooler castaways. Okay, so looking past that, our bathroom had a partially used tube of shampoo and one of bath gel. No soap, shower cap, etc that one expects to find at a 4 star hotel. It almost seemed that our stay was an after thought or that house cleaning has run short of time that day. It may sound picky, but even the toilet paper roll was down to about its last 10 sheets. Nothing earth shattering, but it didn't seem up to our expectations and left an overall poor impression. On a positive note, the shuttle was convenient and got us to the airport promptly. Also, the breakfast buffet is extensive and the better than trying to find a place within the immediate vicinity.

We were actually in transit between Bogota and Johannesburg and found the hotel just what we needed. Very confortable and quiet. The staff were friendly on our arrival and offered us the only room available at that time. We walked to a Plaza close by to pass the time of day with a beer or coffee. We would use the hotel again.

Very clean and pleasant hotel, with airport pick-up, which helps a lot when you arrive at 2 am. We forgot the digital camera in the room, but had no problems getting it back Very honest staff. I would highly recommend it.

What a lovely surprise. A beautiful hotel for a great price, right near the airport. The staff was great--helped us solve a problem with our luggage. If we ever again need to stay near the Madrid airport, we'd certainly come back here.

Staff were fabulous. The only downside was that we arrived at a time of day when everything was closed. Cafe's in close proximity to the hotel were not friendly and actually quite rude. We wished the hotel's restaurant would have been able to serve us. We recommend the hotel and it's staff highly and would stay with them on every trip through Madrid.

Very good airport hotel. The hotel is well located near the airport without actually hearing airplanes overhead. The staff of the hotel were very helpful. THere is parking in a secure garage. The restaurant was nice and the staff there were willing to make sure I got vegetarian food. The hotel is reasonably priced for the airport hotels, room was large, and well furnished. We had an early flight and were happy to stay near the airpor. Would stay there again.

I was surprised that breakfast was not included, i was not made aware of this at booking, and was not made aware of it at check in either, only when the waitress at the breakfast room came up with a 26 euro bill, which looked steep in comparison to 97 euro rate for the room. In my experience, breakfast is usually not included when staying with miles or points, but is normally included when paying for the room. When it is NOT included, most times this situation is made crystal clear when booking.

No swimming pool available, noisy rooms as paper-thin walls probably, but good service, luxurious rooms and free, fast shuttle arranged
