Hotel Chic&Basic Mayerling - Madrid

Great location! The rooms are very basic but have everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only (minor) complaints: I could hear a bit of noise from other rooms, and the bed was not the most comfortable (but not too bad).

We are a couple with a baby who stayed at Chic&Basic Mayerling for 3 nights and it was perfect for what we wanted to do in Madrid - right in the middle of things and within walking distance to all the major sights, as well as being located in a quiet enough street for sleeping at night. Decor is young and funky, rooms are clean and of an adequate size. Would definitely recommend this place, I think especially if you are a young single or couple, wanting a central place in Madrid.

Awesome location, lovely rooms, nice staff. There's everyhing you need, nothing more or less. The helpyourself area is great! Absolutely recommended.

Perfect location very close to the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, La Latina, etc. Modern rooms, nice facilities, included breakfast and snacks are very complete (cereals, breads,yogurts, juice, coffee, tea cookies, etc)

Location very close to central metro station; very friendly employees; essential service provided, but definitely everything you need, it's really worth staying here!

My daughter and I stayed in Madrid for three nights. The Chic & Basic Mayerling is located near the centre of the old city, in a neighbourhood with easy access to Atocha train station and to the sights in the centre. The hotel itself is spotless and the rooms are large and comfortable, and very modern and sleek. The bathroom is really excellent. Some of the rooms simply look onto an air shaft, but this is simply bland, not disagreable, and it is quiet. The hotel has a nice cold breakfast, and snacks available all day long. The staff all speak good English and were very helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel as a very good value for money.

Stay here!!! The hotel is brand new (launched in july 2009) and the staff - especially the manager - are always available to help. They accommodated our luggage during the check in and check out and helped us to define a 2 days tour around Madrid. The hotel is located in the heart of Madrid, really close to Plaza Mayor and La Latina (an area full of "tapas" bars and restaurants). Chic and Basic Mayerling is a great option in Madrid considering its location, helpful staff and quality of services.
