Hotel Dom Pedro Baía - Machico

Hotel is uniquely located in 6 min drive from the airport, while there is no any noise from the planes at all. Close to the sandy beach, have back exit right to the sea and wonderful sea view windows. Wifi is perfectly working from the public areas. Parking is available everywhere. If we come back to Madeira, this hotel will be definitely our choice again.

1 Night, the last one before leaving Madeira. Nice hotel in Machico, which is a very nice town, very near the airport, which was convenient. Many nice, and rather cheap restaurants nearby, and good breakfast at the hotel All together; Good value for the money.

The hotel is fine and definitely the best in Machico. Sand beach is not far from it too

The hotel was o.k, but a balcony to the room would have been fine. The view from the room was fine though. Machico is a nice little town for a walk, and the hotel is very centrally located. There is a nice church. With a car there are many nice places to visit in eastern Madeira, and walks along levadas to do. The short distance to the airport is an advantage, when arriving at, or departing from Madeira. We heard no noice from the airport.

I stayed in this hotel as a football team from my country was staying there for a tournament. It was not a disappointing stay at all. The view was amazing from the hotel and while Machico is just a quiet residential town, it does have development plans and should be worthwhile visiting in the future. Only real grumbles about the hotel was the unimaginative breakfast and also the bedroom walls were very thin so much so that you had a good idea what the couple next door were at most of the time! The hotel is very close to the airport too so that's a plus. One comment on the local taxis, ask what the cost is to where you are going because some seem more honest than others who protest to be just that.

This is a nice hotel, on the ocean, overlooking both the town and the ocean. The town, with its restaurants, squares, beach, is right at your feet. It's a great location for exploring the Sao Lourenco peninsula, and the eastern part of the island. As a result, we stayed an extra day.

Yes, 4 times before. Nice, genuine restaurant "O General" 500 m from hotel Walks (or by car) along the Machico River. Wonderful views Dom Pedro Baía is a very good hotel, well located with a nice and helpful staff.

Das Hotel hat ein wirklich herausragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir haben für 1 Übernachtung in einem twin-room lediglich 39,--€ bezahlt. Die Zimmer waren ok und sauber mit sehr schönen Eckfenstern, die den seitlichen Blick auf das Meer ermöglichten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Räume in der Lobby, Bar und Frühstücksraum wirken leider wie in einer Jugendherberge (keinerlei Ausstrahlung, kein Flair, kein Stil). Es gibt kaum Parkplätze, da sich das auch optisch große Gebäude inmitten eines Wohngebietes befindet. Im Umfeld ist außer wenigen Restaurantes nichts. Fazit: Ideal bei einzelnen Übernachtungen (z.B. bei einer Rundreise). Für Pauschalurlaub wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. Restaurant-Tipp: Pizza im La Bonne Bouffe, Rua do Mercado 8-9, lecker und super preiswert (2 kleine Pizza + 3 Getränke 13,--€).

A good place to stay in Madeira. Welcoming and quality of service are remarkable.
