Hotel Au Quartier is a three star hotel in Maastricht, the Netherlands. It is located in the Jekerkwartier, which is the old part of the town. From here, guests are very close to sights such as the Vrijthof square, which has many monuments to explore, the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwebasiliek (Our-Sweet-Lady Cathedral), or Helpoort, which is a town gate built in the 13th century and the oldest in the Netherlands.
After a full day of sightseeing, guests can head back to the hotel to enjoy a relaxing evening. The building dates back to the 18th century, when it was a mansion, and still retains a lot of that history. Guests can explore the grounds, enjoy a good book in the enclosed courtyard, or eat a delicious meal in the hotel’s restaurant, which features French cuisine and an extensive wine list.
