Amrâth Grand Hotel de l’Empereur - Maastricht

Hotel is perfectly placed for coming off the train,1 minute walk.Warm welcome from reception and asked if we wanted a room in the old part of the hotel or the newer part which were at the back and less noisy,chose the back and room was huge with couple of seats and a table for sitting at.10 minute walk into the centre of town with a few good restaurants around the hotel, We also had a meal in the restaurant which was very good,well presented and served. All in all could recommend highly

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was on the top floor. Very small, one small window which made the room very dark. Window opened easily and there was no safety bars. The safe didn't work, the trouser press didn't work, there was no chain to secure the door locked at night, the wallpaper was very dirty and peeling off around the window, the shower curtain was very dirty at the bottom and obviously had been there for some time, one of the wall lights was very loose and coming off the wall. On the second day we decided to complain to the staff, and we were moved to a far better room with a very sincere apology. Quite honestly, with the standard of the hotel and the price we were charged the first room number 408 shouldn't never be used in that condition. We thought the breakfast @ 17.50 euros was ridiculously over priced, and ate out one of the mornings.

Old and nice hotel situated close to the railway station but very near to the center of the city. Good confort.

This is a good hotel in a very convenient location. However, the old part of the hotel where my room was is in a bad shape and needs to be renovated. The accommodation in this part of the hotel is overpriced.

Nice,clean hotel and ideally located near the central station and the city centre.

Have been in maastricht a few times before. The Grand Htl Empereur exceede my expectations and I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay there. Coming by car I also had a convenient indoor parking area, to a reasonable rate. In sum: my sicere recommendations.

So convineient that the hotel is right next to the Maastricht Centraal Station.

The hotel staff was very accommodating about keeping our luggage since we couldn't check in upon arrival.

Nice room, location not too great, next to railroad station.

It was a nice hotel but price could be more affordable. Location was also good nearby the train station. Room was very good. At last continental breakfast could be included in the price.
