Hotel right by gare Perrache and perfect for tram to gare Part-Dieu, Place Carnot is delightful green space in Presque-ile so convenient not only for shopping on rue Victor Hugo, but also eating out in old town and exploring both sides of both rivers. Impressed by museum of Resistances and Deportations on rue Berthelot [tram line from Perrache].Also had great walk through silk area to magnificent parc Tete d'Or. Good breakfast as to be expected at Campanile , cleaning staff very sympathique and front desk friendly when not being too busy. Our room on 6th floor had unexpected balcony, great views and was clean.

Reasonable location, very close to Lyon Perrache station, and the metro; overlooking the pleasant Place Carnot. Unfortunately the room had zero shelves. How is it possible for a hotel not to provide ANY cupboards?

The hotel is conveniently located close to the Lyon Perrache train-tram-metro station and at a 5 minutes walk from the city center. My (twin used as single) room, was small but slightly bigger than average and very clean. Unfortunately it was a first floor looking on the main Place Carnot and I could hear cars and trams from the street, as there were no double windows. However, the inside of the hotel was quiet, the staff members were kind and the overall ratio quality/price is good. There's the possibility to have a buffet-breakfast: it's a bit expensive but reasonably good, and I appreciated the selection of fresh fruit and yogurts. I can certainly recommend the hotel for a short stay and/or if you need to be close to transportation, but due to the noise maybe I would not choose it for a longer stay.

Small room, crowded by a very comfortable king size bed, so not much room to move. OK if you dont spend much time in the hotel. Breakfasts good _ fresh fruit and yoghurt etc. Not the best area, but right near Perrache station. We'd stay again.

Clean and spacious room. In the overall, I found the staff unwelcoming, I was asked to pay for the room as I stepped in and to present my ID card. There's a free parking available just in front of the hotel under the tunnel. The hotel is close to the center.

Elevator to my floor didn't work and I had no assistance in carrying my luggage. Wireless internet didn't work. Room is very small but clean. It was ok for one night but not for more.

My sister and I stayed for 6 nights. The extras were not there as compared to the 4-5 star hotels, but the BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE SHEETS CLEAN. The location is excellent. The hotel is right next to train station which served very well as the center of our exploration of the nearby cities - as far as Marseille. I'd stay there again.

The only bad thing was the spaciousness of the room, there was just a little free space next to the window. As far as it concerned all the rest it's a absolutely a good place to stay. The breakfast is a bit expensive, but it worth

All rooms are old fashion. There is a lot of noises with the doors of the other rooms on the floor (open-close) . The lift is too small and noisy (my room is close to the wall of the lift!

Room and bathroom a bit small, but you know, I did not go to France to stay in my room :). As long as the room and bed is clean it is OK with me. I did have a little maze to walk through to get to my room. I was in room 148, which should have been on the first floor, but ended up on the second floor. I thought it was a trick, but enjoyed the hunt.

Standard level; breakfast room was spacious but resembled a canteen. No safe in the room. Good location, especially if you are travelling by train. Most attractions of the city are at walking distance, and so is the shopping district.

Every thing was good about our stay. The location of the hotel is excellent since its very easy to reach via tram. There's only wifi but no computer to use internet if you don't bring your own laptop.

We stayed at Hotel Campinile 3-4 nights and loved it. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's right on the Place Carnot which has restaurants and bars surrounding it, playgrounds, a Sunday market, and is right in front of the Gare Perrache, which is a center for trains/metro/trams and has small shops that are useful, such as a superette with great sandwiches and a Subway (yes, the American Subway chain). Our room was clean, comfortable, and large with an extra bed, which is handy as we need room to store our stuff. The furnishings are basic but adequate, it was air conditioned, and it had free wi-fi. For the price I thought the location and comfort couldn't be beat. It makes me think of the business hotels in Japan, which are no frills but have everything you need. I thought we should avoid the restaurants right on Place Carnot, but after tiring ourselves out walking around looking for a restaurant that was open on Sunday, we ended up back at Place Carnot. In fact, we ended up eating most of our meals there, and all were good. The only reason I gave the public rooms a 7 is that the lobby was sparkling clean and modern, but just functional. It wouldn't be the kind of place you'd lounge around in.

We stayed on the 7th floor, where we had an excellent view of the hill with the cathedral on its top. The room was clean and large enough for us two. In addition the hotel is very close to Perrache station where the bus from the airport is terminated. I'd would recommend you to stay there if you are looking for a good hotel at a resonable price.

We were feeling fantastic while we stayed in the hotel. It is in front of the train station and we could walk or use any kind of transportation. Good price compared to the service.

Excellent accommodation - great value for money. Clean, modern rooms, very accessible central Lyon location opposite train station and airport shuttle with access to metro and trams. Highly recommended.

Good value for money and a convenient place to stay the night when arriving at Gare Lyon Parrache at 22:15. Reception staff were helpful. Elevator too small to serve a coach party arriving together just before me.
