Grand Hôtel de la Paix - Lyon

No AC in the room I was given (Venere website says ALL rooms are provided with AC...). Check out time is at 11, not at noon (I was politely kicked off from my room at 11,10 by the reception for cleaning service...). Very good location, right in the city centre, with pleasent sorroundings.

Location can't be more central,ideal for shopping, sight seeing, eating and other. Most everything is withing walking reach. the hotel is completely renovated, quiet and well kept. The service also is efficient and discreet. I don't hesitate in recommending it.

Nice hotel and nice position, even though, with open windows, is very noisy.

I was excited to stay in a three star hotel, but was very disappointed with the quality upon arrival. Fresh paint and shinny sliver chairs in the lobby do not make this a three star property. Will not reccomend to anyone on any budget.

It was in the convenient place, and was very good for shopping and meal in Lyons. The staff at the hotel was bright, happy people, and it was kind, and was able to have good feeling. It is that the smell of the colon when entering the room was too strong that it was surprised a little. However, it became a nature too much if becoming accustomed.

Very cheerful and helpful staff - a real pleasure to stay in this hotlel which is in a brilliant location in the city centre - just a few yards from restaurants and shopping centre.

Hotel situated in very noisy area, constant noise from 3 restaurants and street traffic, had to close doors as impossible to sleep otherwise, however NO airconditioning, so VERY HOT and uncomfortable. Bathroom good, rooms recently redecorated, however look is cheap and gaudy, strong smell of paint in room, would NOT recommend hotel.

Hotel muy arreglado en el centro de la ciudad. Acceso wifi gratuito El personal muy atento, en recepción hablaban español perfectamente y nos ayudaron mucho

Accueil chaleureux et professionnel. Hôtel super bien placé proche musées, boutiques et quartier St. Jean. J'espère avoir l'occasion de revenir bientôt.

L'albero è un ottimo tre stelle, buon rapporto qualità prezzo, gradevolezza della stanza e del servizio. Unica pecca grave: il parcheggio convenzionato (quello nella stradina di fronte all'entrata). Abbiamo lasciato l'auto due notti con il pieno e ci siamo trovati il serbatoio in parte svuotato. Le persone che lavorano in quel garage si presentano come spregevoli e a quanto sembra lo sono veramente.

Great place , in the center of the city, next to subway. The hotel charges you with 0,77€ per person (not included in Venere prices), they said it's like this in all France. The hotel was being repared so its looks great and clean. Rooms big enough (beds very comfortable!). TV in each room. They do not offer A/C. In gerenal, excellent choice.

Very central, quiet if you get a back-side room, extremely firendly staff. (Actually all the people in Lyon are very friendly.)

Hotel in ristrutturazione, ma con materiali poveri e lavori realizzati al risparmio. Vivamente sconsigliato. Le camere sono piccolissime, l'ascensore a volte si blocca al quinto piano. La posizione in città è l'unica nota positiva.

The wep pages said that the rooms had aircondition,that was wrong it had not airconditon.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, just perfect.

This hotel is perfectly located, in the center of everything. All the main squares, the rivers, everything is convenient. There's even a subway stop just a couple blocks away. Great room, view, service. Recommend highly. A little pricey, but everything in Europe is right now, and the location makes it well worth it!

Nous sommes très satisfait de cet hôtel car l'accès touristique est facile et l'hotel vient de se faire rénover.Si il y avait une cafétière libre-service, ça serait mieux et aussi, le petit-déjeuner est un peu cher.

Cheap hotel for the quality it support (real 3 stars hotel), it is on very good location in the center, very close to the main shopping street (less then 1 min walking distance) close also to the historical part of the city (the hill with the cathedral), it was brand new renovated and it was still smelling of paint, the bath room is very big like a bed room, but it is not so functional like : there is a bath but if you take a shower then everything get wet in the room because there is not a plastic glass that shielded from the water stream, there are no handles if you want to use the bath and so one, but if you do not cake about the fact that the floor in the bath room get wet everything else is ok.

The location is very good, near to the city center where there are many shops and resturants. The rooms are good and quite.

Horrible chemical smell due to ongoing hotel renovation( Installing new carpet.)Couldn't keep windows open due to noise.Rolls of new carpet in reception. Excellent location. Very clean, beautiful new bathroom.Charged 102.46euros instead of Venere 99.38euros total.

The internet cost was outrageous. I only bought one hour to justify the fact that I brought my laptop with me, but it was not worth... Otherwise it's a nice, cheap place in a great location. Employees were very nice. The bag deposit was not very secure, but I didn't lose anything :)
