A 5 minute drive to the west takes you to the beach at Kvavik, while a 10 mile drive to the south brings you to Rosfjord’s beach and the Sørlandsbadet water park and fitness centre. Nearby is a 330 hectare/819 acre protected natural area called the Nedre Lyngdalselva dyrefredningsområde (Lower Lyngdal River Animal Conservation Area).
