The parking was full and we ended up looking for a parking-place for about an hour(because of the traffic jam)

I was at "Le Châtelet" for 3 nights with my children age 9 and 14. I found the staff very friendly: on Saturday we had to leave at 6 in the morning, and the staff offered to come to kitchen and get a bag of roll and croissant, and if I don't mind that eggs will not be ready, we can come and have breakfast, though in theory breakfast starts at 7. The cleaning lady smiled friendly, this made us feel welcome too. I particularly appreciated the location: 15 minutes walk to central station, 15 minutes walk to city centre. The beautiful valley to enjoy a walk is in front of the hotel. You can start the walk from the hotel, then walk in direction of downtown, have a coffee and cake downtown, for example. There is a not so small playground with a higher, more scary slide, really close to the hotel, on the way to the valley, that my children enjoyed a lot! We appreciated the parking and the 'living room', where my kids could play cards. Internet connection was surprisingly good! Better than 5 star Intercontinental in Frankfurt! My son played with the computer in the living room. It was the computer of the hotel. We stayed in room 42, which was located near the staircase and the entrance door. It was a bit noisy: every time the door closed it made a noise. It woke us up in the morning. The old wooden stairs and the wooden floor would 'crack' with every step.

Room size and bed size was more single than double. Bathroom only had a slide door that does not really close properly.

The room was adequate for our requirements. At first we thought it was too noisy as foot traffic on the steps was quite pronounced. However this subsided after 10pm, and was quet after that time, giving a good sleep. A second chair to sit in would have been appreciated. the stool became uncomfortable after a while. Breakfast was good

We enjoyed our stay very much. The reception at the desk was chilly, however. We were not made to feel welcome or introduced to the public space with chairs and books, etc. The experience the next morning was completely different - the breakfast area was staffed with warm and welcoming people and the clerk as we checked out was also polite. One comment, however, we stayed on the top floor and the top step is a treacherous one. It almost caused us to fall everytime we started down the steps. There is no step right next to the banister and it is deceiving. We had a wonderful time in Luxembourg and the Hotel was great, as was its location in the city!

Our "Economy Double Room" was located in the basement of the hotel with only a small basement window to the street (so, the description "room with view" is misleading for this room). The room was clean and the furniture was functional. There were two separated single beds instead of a double bed, but we could move them together. Breakfast buffet is great. The city center can be reached after a nice 15 minutes walk through the Petrusse Valley.

This hotel was excellent. I would be quite happy to stay at this hotel on more than one occasion. Excellent breakfast (quality & quantity). Nice location looking over the Petrusse valley. 15 minute walk from the station & main tourist areas (nearly opposite directions).

Some of the rooms (including the one I had)are in a different building to the main hotel. It was not a problem, they are only about 50m away, and the one I had had a fully equiped kitchen (quite a benefit if one was staying longer as eating out in Luxembourg is expensive).

Great stay. Perfect location. Good rooms. Only negative is that the bathroom had a really bad odour. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

About 15 minute walk from the train station. Information at train station will give you a map free and show you where the hotel is on the map. We paid 69 euro and stayed one night in the Low Budget Room which was in the basement with smaller basement windows. The room was spacious and clean with 2 twin bed, T.V., hair dyer, Internet service and breakfast all included in the price. Luxembourg is one of the cleanest and most beautiful cities in Europe and the people of Luxembourg should be very proud of their city. We would stay at this hotel again if we were to come back to Luxembourg.

The hotel staff are very friendly and speak very good English. This hotel is probably more convenient if you have a car with you - the walk to the train station is about 10-12 minutes (and there are other hotels nearer the station). Bus station to the city center costs 1.50 euros and the walk to the stop from the hotel is about 8-10 minutes. The hotel provides free wifi which is great. Breakfast is quite good, it was included in the room rate. The hotel is like a chateau, so don't expect a "real" hotel with expansive lobby and public areas, but has a cozy atmosphere to it. There are no lifts, although staff offered to help with my luggage. If you must make a reservation, and have luggage, you might want to request for a room in the lower floors. There's also a lounge area that doubles up as a library (there's a good selection of books). The floors are made of wood, and since the rooms are next to each other, you can easily hear footsteps on the hallway and even in the room next to yours. Since I took the train to the city, I would have preferred a hotel nearer the train station, but my stay at this hotel was nevertheless quite good.
