Parco Paradiso Suitenhotel - Paradiso, Lugano

Brilliant hotel, breath-taking views, beautiful surroundings. Staff are prepared to go above and beyond to not only meet but EXCEED expectations. From stepping into the hotel on the first day, we were greeted warmly and heartily. We were very pleased to learn that our standard room reservation had been upgraded to a garden suite overlooking the lake. Absolutely gorgeous. (Second floor) This generous welcome extended consistently throuhgout our stay - until the very last day. Even after we checked out and stepped out of the hotel grounds, Parco Paradiso's hospitality followed us as we were pleasantly surprised to learn that our taxi ride was complimentary. Just a few things to bear in mind - there is no air conditioning in the entire hotel. That statement must be proceeded with the fact that there was no need for air conditioning during our 3 night stay in mid-July (2011). The windows and bedroom fan worked wonders. There is also no wireless internet access from the bedrooms - however, the cable internet is free. So iPad users, come prepared with a laptop or some sort of a converter if there is such a thing! We had a laptop so we gave our iPad a rest. Besides, who needs internet with the gorgeous Lugano view???? Transportation is abundant. Swiss punctuality and hospitality is not lost on public transportation - so take advantage of the bus stop and train station right across the street from Parco Paradiso. If you have a car, parking is free. We highly recommend for those without a car (like us) to ask lots of questions and pay attention to the hotel's pedestrian exit. We had trouble finding the entrance on the first night because it is unmarked. However, upon asking folks at the bus stop, we found our way. Then the entrance was easy to find for the rest of our stay. Breakfast is included and absolutely delicious. Get a seat on the outdoor terrace and soak in the morning rays peeping over the mountains. Rate far too expansive for a room without view. Restaurant too expansive for the quality

Staff was not welcoming and did not have a helpful attitude throughout our stay. Beautiful view from our room though!

Stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed the hotel very much. Views of the lake, city, and mountains. The room was comfortable. Sauna & steam bath relaxing, pool area warm. Exercise area well equiped. Internet access & resturant made my stay sane.

THE HOTEL IS COMFORTABLE, PEOPLE ARE WARM, BUT IT IS STILL A 4 STAR HOTEL AT A HIGH PRICE...IT DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITINING,ONLY FANS. THE ROOMS ARE BIG AND MODERN AND BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD. THE HOTEL IS STAIRS AWAY FROM THE TRAIN STATION AND BUS STOP...AND YOU CAN BE IN DOWNTOWN VERY EASILY ...I HAD A GREAT VIEW OF LUGANO

We booked a one bedroom suite but was upgraded(?) to a two bedroom two bathroom suite (there was 4 adults, family). The suite had an amazing view and was one of the only two rooms on the top floor. The breakfast included with the room was fantastic with eggs made to order and waffles and pancakes made to order too. Lots of selection of everything.

It was a really great hotel! Breakfast was excellent and the view from the room and also from the pool was amaizing. All in all I have to say that I would stay in this hotel again if I'll search one in Lugano!!!

Parco paradiso is situated in an excellent location in the area of Lugano lakes. The luxurious lake view rooms are outstanding!!!
