Hotel Vezia - Vezia, Lugano

Stayed one night. Big gourmet store further up the road, behind the pool. Easy to take the bus downtown Lugano.

We had long trip from London to Florence and We stay there just one night and we have`t time to use all stuff what They have there ex. swimpool :( Staff are really helphul and friendly, it`s good place to stay longer and see lake and city. Room clean - never saw cleaner motel like this. Nice decoration I felt like the time stop 50 years ago!

I was looking for a family room for me and my three kids: the motel offered a very good solution. Kids loved reaching the room on the top of the garage. Although the room was a bit old fashion, and the bathroom quite basic with its shower, it was very cleaned, quite large and very quite at this period of the year (Nov). The breakfast was excellent and we got a warm welcome. We went to the pizzeria the other side of the street - good del and very good wwelcome as well. Motel Vezia is an original place to stay - funny for family.

Really tiny room, but clean and very quiet. Typical motel atmosphere. Would stay here again, but it needs a little modernizing. You walk into the door and into 1965. And that's not always nostalgic. But location was excellent, so no real complaints.

What a total disappointment looked really good on website. Room tiny, smelly, damp no air con and in need of a good lick of paint. Room overlooked back road so often light-up by cars. Very noisy from other rooms. Very poor value for money. Will never use again

Having a free parking place is important.

We liked Motel Vezia so much that we stayed there again on our return trip. Drivers of old cars (mercedes, thunderbird, jaguar) of the 1950's

The travelers must determine the destination in the GPS the ''city'' of Vezia instead of Lugano.In Lugano there is the same address (conflict).

It was a pleasure to stay at Motel Vezia. I'd like to emphasize the employees' kindness. Everthing was perfect. I strongly recommend this place!

Ideal for a one night stop with the car (or even better with motorbike) as there are indidual garages for each room...

We used this hotel for one night between Paris and Venezia. After a driving day we highly appreciated to go to Lugano center by bus. Bus stop just in front of the hotel. Buy bus tickets at the hotel and you will save 1 CHF (4 CHF round trip insted of 5).

Staff very helpful and friendly. Good choice of menu in restaurant and food was excellent. Lake only a few minutes drive away. Really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Nous sommes très contents de ce motel où nous avons passé 1 nuit d'étape lors de notre voyage vers l'Italie. Chambres propres, accueil sympa et en français. Et le petit plus avec le style années 60. A recommander.

I'm sorry to let you know that I have been at Motel Vezia on th 14th of July but not on the 30th. I phoned at the motel from a little village in Italy to cancell the reservation (2 times). I was answered that all was in order. Today morning I have received my Visa letter of account and to my surprise I am debited for an amount of 165 euros for the night from 30 to 31. I phoned at the hotel but I was told that the only partner is you and that there was nothing to do to get back the money. I was in a little village in Italy where there is no internet connection and I phoned two times. I am very disappointed. Could you please do something ? Best regards Elisabeth IZZI

We enjoyed our stay at hotel motel vezi in may 2006 for an overnight stop on our way to Italy by motorbike. The staff were very helpful the room not that big but clean and comfortable sat tv with english stations a bonus. Walls not that well soundproofed but not a problem. Would stay there again for an overnight stop.

They could use heavier drapes to prevent light coming into the room. Overall it was a pleasent experience, we only stayed one night.

Garages very narrow (hotel built 50 years ago when European cars much smaller on average). Would advise caution if travelling with SUV or larger vehicle. Difficult to check in after 10.30 p.m. - advise reception if you're checking in late or they might not let you in!!

Especially the servie was great at the motel vezia. the owner (an elderly, very friendly man) gave us helpful hints about locarno, our trip for the next day and told us a lot about the story of the motel and even gave us a music-cd. the stay in the motel was just great and a pleasure. THANK YOU!

Very friendly staff; within easy reach of Lugano centre; handy 'Manor' department store nearby; if travelling in Summer ask for a room with aircon though!!

Motel Vezia is very well placed for visitors to Lugano travelling by car. The rooms are well maintained and spacious; the private access from your own garage is great. The breakfasts are good and the staff is great. The restaurant is a very pleasant room. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast is not included in the price quote, be aware. The rooms with garage are noisy, as the motel is on the main street of Vezia.

Würde ich jederzeit weiterempfehlen! ideal wenn man mit dem auto unterwegs ist. die zimmer sind zweckmässig und sauber. preis/leistung stimmt.

The recepetion closes at 11:00 pm, and we could not arrive by that time due to delays in flights. Still, they had arranged for us to be able o access our room with no problem. Very friendly service of the reception staff. I am quite satisfied with the Motel Vezia.

To our - excellent - surprise, we have discovered at our arrival at the hotel that a swimming pool belongs to the facilities offered. This was not mentionned in the description of the hotel on the www.venere.com website. This hotel has a very high price-quality rate. The family rooms are excellent! A very good place to rest when travelling from northern Europe to Italy.
