The hotel is in beautiful surroundings, and is marked by subtle, quiet refinement in atmosphere (for instance inner and outer decoration of breakfast room, with view to an exhuberant garden, swimmingpool in natural stone). It is close to the lake of Lugano , by which three restaurants may be found, and from which a beautiful two hour ship tour (with return by train) to Lugano may be booked. The 4,5 km walk around the peninsula is also one of the highlights.
