Hotel Besso - Lugano

Need to ask for quiet room good breakfast

Hotel Besso is very close to the city center, however to come back to the hotel the way is quite steep.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful and our room was also nice. Maybe a little more help with getting around the city? No one knew anything about the bus schedule for example. But, in general, we were very happy. Thank you for all your help. We have never been to Lugano, but the hotel is perfectly located between Franklin College and the city. You should encourage Besso to get on Franklin's list of hotels for parents. It is in exactly the right place.

Perfect location to reach Lugano centre and railwaystation.

Place is quite old. Room size is very reasonable, but room is very basic. No safe in the room. The shower/bath does not even have a curtain; so you can splash water all over the bathroom when taking a shower. ie you cant have a good comfortable shower. The only thing that saved it is the generally quieter room, ok breakfast and good location. The car parking space is actually just a spot in the car park next door. Did not give me a good impression that it is secure.

Really good but a little bit noisy in the night for the street

Nice, but old, hotel. Was close to the railway station and convenient to the lakefront and shopping. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast service.

Functional hotel, very basic and a bit dated-looking. Central location, just next to trainstation, makes it good basis for exploring the city and surrounding areas though.

This was our first visit to Lugano and we stayed 2 nights in Hotel Besso. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. The location of the hotel was excpetional-just a few minutes walk into the heart of old town Lugano.Would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone intending to visit Lugano. Very good value for money.
