The hotel has a fabulous view and an excellent deck/bar on the lake. However, there were issues with many other aspects (shower, concierge, business center, etc.) that makes it hard to recommend this very expensive hotel as a good choice for a Lugano stay.

Great hotel with all the facilities in a great location, very nice rooms and excellent service, and a perfect price quality, to be recommended.

Property shows its age, overall feeling is average. Furniture looks cheap and old. Design and leayouts pointing into 1970's. Next time, we would most likely choose different hotel. We would recommend Ristorante Santabbondio, Via Fomelino 10, Sorengo-Lugano, for its nice surrounding, good meal and excellent service.

How to reach Grand Hotel Eden
By car
From the North or South: take the motorway exit of Lugano sud (south). Drive towards Lugano and the lake. At the lake, turn right. After 200 metres you will see the hotel.
By train
From Lugano railway station, take bus line 2 to Lugano Paradiso (a 5-minute ride). The hotel lies about 100 meters from the bus stop.
By airplane
From Milano Malpensa airport, take the shuttle bus to the Lugano railway station, then follow the indications above.
