Hotel Seeburg - Lucerne

The hotel was beautifully positioned on the lake side about a 45 minute walk to the wooden Chapel Bridge. Switzerland is expensive and this hotel was medium priced but you get less for your money in Switzerland. The restaurant was dissapointing. Dinner was very expensive, waiter service slow, wine list poor, in particular there was a curious selection of white wines which were generaly old, expensive and poor value for money. We requested parking when we booked but received no confirmation and the parking was full when we arrived.

we arrived late at night and left 5 am to be present at the carnival opening , so we could not enjoy the view which otherwise (also it was snowing!) must be very nice so we will visit again - we liked that it was only 5 minute drive by taxi to town as we prefer a quiet place and a nice view to proximity to center

Nice hotel, even least expensive rooms have balconies overlooking beautiful Lake Luzern, handy to city center by bus or a leisurely walk along the lakefront. Only gripe is that the free internet in the lobby was not working during our entire stay.

Easy access, nice people, comfortable rooms and one of the best restaurants of Luzern. We will be back in 2008!

The hotel is in a fantastic location with super views of Pilatus and the lake from the bedroom window. A frequent bus service provided a simple and quick way into Luzern itself. The room was lovely and the food very good and we enjoyed our stay very much.We would not give full marks to the hotel because we found it quite pricy, and while the staff were very professional, we did not feel welcomed as individuals, just two more guests to be polite to.

THOSE RENOVATED ROOMS ARE FIT FOR A KING!

Though the hotel is located on a main street, and there is some traffic noise, the views from the balcony can only be described as breathtaking. The staff, bar, breakfast and dining areas are first rate, our room (particularly the bathroom) was sleek, modern and comfortable. Should I visit Luzern again, I would not stay anywhere else.
