Perfect. Clean, quiet, very close to downtown. Good value for money.

The service at the bar in the evening was poor (had to look for the servant every time when wanting another drink), and absolutely unacceptable for breakfast: worst case was second morning. When we came down, we had to first go to the kitchen and look for somebody to clean a table for us and provide us with clean plates and cups. Then we found out that the buffet was nearly emptied and not refilled. We had to ask for butter and other things. Absolutely no service at all and definitely not ok, since we paid extra EUR 20 per person for the breakfast! Minor issue: light in the room is not enough - in the evening it is impossible to open the safe at the wardwrobe close to the door, because of lack of light.

This hotel has got the usual comfort of any NH, it's nice and well-located, very close to the centre of the town. If one arrives before the check-in time (13h), one can leave the luggage in the luggage-room, but not in the room. The room is large and cozy, the WC and the bathroom are separated.On Sundays and holidays, one can park in the surroundings for free, the other days it will be more difficult to find a place, but there is always the hotel's parking. Breakfast was not included in the prize, but the hotel is near to Lowenplatz, where there are some cafes.

Room has a small fan instead of air conditioning. In summer, even that you are in switzerland, air conditioning is a must. Internet access is always a pain in Europe, we in America are used to free-wireless internet service in every room. Hotel does not have free internet.

The hotel is rated 3 stars, but no mini-bar and nobody at the reception did not speak french (although it is located in Switzerland). The room is clean but quite small and has no air conditioning. We were obliged to pay in Swiss francs, not euros.

In November 2008 my wife, 23-year old daughter, and I stayed one night at the NH Luzern Hotel. This hotel is a 15-minute walk from the train station. We decided to take the short ride to the hotel on the number 1 bus, from the bus stop across from the train station. Hotel is less than 5 minutes from the bus stop. The NH Luzern Hotel appears to be a 3-star hotel, and was by far the best value in Lucerne. In November 2007 we stayed at the nearby Ambassador Hotel. Although the Ambassador was very adequate (see my review in venere.com), there is no comparison with the NH Luzern Hotel. The NH Luzern Hotel is very near a main street that has street cars and busses, so local transportation is very convenient. The restaurants and shopping in old town, and the Lion Monument, are within a 5-minute walk, and there’s a Co-op department store across the main street. We arrived at noon, so our room wasn’t ready yet. The desk clerk placed our luggage in a large storage room while we shopped and had lunch in Old Town. Our room on the 9th floor was huge, and had 2 twin beds at one end, and a sofa made into a large bed at the other end. The room was clean, quiet, and had a mini-safe and refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable, and the lighting and heating were excellent. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and a large bathtub. We had an excellent buffet breakfast in a very elegant dining room on the ground floor, at a cost of 20 Swiss Francs/each (well worth it).

Very nice hotel close to the city center and to the main attractions of Lucern. The room was quite clean and comfortable, but was not ready when we arrived at 1pm so we had to wait until 5pm before getting in. Car parking was not available, we had to leave the car in front of the hotel where there are some parking meters with a 2 hours limit.

I can't tell you my opinion. At my arrival the receptionist told me that no room was available because a breakdown of the computer not to allowed to see my reservation. In that day the hotel was full, so they gave me the adress of an hotel next door, same standard. My opinion about the service of the NH Luzern Hotel is very, very poor.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. Room was very comfortable and clean. Only draw-back: our window above service entrance with noise early in the morning. Hotel in ideal position to explore the whole town. Very easy to get from train station to hotel. Walking distance!! Will stay there again

It is a very modern hotel, looks like a good US hotel. The room is very nice comfortable, the bed was very nice. The breakfast provided was very good
