Hotel Magic - Lucerne

Room overlooking historic square in the center of the old town. One flight of stairs separates the hotel front door from the river promenade. Keycard access to hotel and room, reception is in Hotel Krone about 50 yards away, also breakfast which is an excellant cold buffet. Only problem was ongoing construction in the downtown area means wakeup at 7AM during weekdays. Also the occassional latenighht partiers passing through the square below can enliven the night. Fourth time I've stayed here, willl stay again. Pirate and Ceasar room have square views. Farmer room is actually my preferred except that the view from the window is mediocre at best.

The hotel is in a unique location and the theme rooms in the hotel make for an interesting stay.

Biggest problem is that it's very noisy at night, but the room is definitely spacious, very clean and staff very helpful! Do bring your earplugs with you and it'll be a pleasant stay!

Excellent location. Spaciouse & cosy room (the farmer).Cleaned and serviced daily. Disappointed though, upon arrival, since had to check-in at the Krone Hotel, and there was no one from the front desk to show me to the Magic Hotel and assist with the front-door on first night in Luzern (the entrance to the Magic is "hidden" in the alley and the front-door is quite obscur at night).

Excellent location over looking the lake. Staff were helpful but the road noise was a worry. We enjoyed out stay.
