perfect location, very nice and helpful staff, nice breakfast, very big room, only wasn't so quiet at night because after all it was carnival (very nicely celebration in the town by the way) but sound-isolating windows worked a lot; when coming back to lucerne (and I hope I will) I'd surely stay at Krone again! unfortunately their restaurant is closed on weekends, but nearby I'd recommended a cheese fondue at the "fondue house", only two streets away.

My husband and I went to Luzern and stayed at the Hotel Krone May 2006. The hotel is in a good location, being in the heart of the old city, which makes it convenient for restaurants and shopping as well as having that "romantic feel". The positives were that it was within walking distance of the railway station, the free internet was wonderful, convenient setting ( Luzern is an easy city to tour by foot), it had a jug in the room for tea and coffee - unusual for Europe!and it is located in the pedestrian area so it was quiet at night. We would have liked to have a hot breakfast instead of Continental but that is typical of European hotels. This was our first time at Luzern, and if we are ever lucky enough to return, we would be happy to stay at the Hotel Krone again.

How to reach Hotel Krone
By car
From the highway, follow the indications to Luzern. At the big traffic light, turn left, crossing the bridge and then turn right entering the old city centre, where the hotel is.
By train
Lucerne railway station is only 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
By airplane
Zurich airport is about 60 km from the hotel and connected to Lucerne by train.
