Hotel Albergo Villa Marta - San Lorenzo a Vaccoli, Lucca

The restaurant in the hotel was excellent we had some fantastic pasta and fish. I would highly recommed it.

The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant Botton d'Oro is really good for not so really high price. To try!

Quiet semi rural location with nice views. All staff were very friendly and courteous. Memorable stay, would definitely come again!

Put simply, my wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Marta. The price/quality relationship was excellent, and we would very likely stay at this establishment when visiting the Lucca area in the future. The reception staff is competent and doesn't overly fuss over guests. The common areas are impeccably clean and well appointed, as are the rooms. The grounds are spacious and well-maintained, and the location is good. Above all else, the low-season promotional rates are outstanding (~62E/day) relative to the accommodation and services provided. Breakfast is also a high point. Our only (minor) quibble is with the clientele. The hotel has evidently been written up by some of the top-shelf rating services and, consequently, the guests are a bit swank for our tastes. If you're a friendly and outgoing type expect lots of pomposity and cold stares around the breakfast buffet. Again, this is a minor complaint and wouldn't deter us from staying at Hotel Marta again. We'll just navigate around or ignore our fellow guests in the future. No problem.

Just out of Lucca, in the enchanting Lucchesia (Lucca surroundings). Very nice hotel. Very clean, elegant and professional service. I would really recommend this hotel to everyone, but certainly not for big groups of people (not enough space and rooms, anyway).

We really enjoyed our three nights' stay. We felt us welcome right away. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We got the impression that the owners had the ambition to run the hotel in the best possible way.

The hotel was wonderful, relaxing and with a mixture of guests mostly staying for one or two nights. We stayed a full week and loved coming back every day to beautiful surroundings, excellent service and very friendly staff. The hotel was near the lovely city of Lucca where it was possible to cycle to and also around the streets of the city and city wall. Great holiday and would definitely return to the Albergo Villa Marta.

We had a delightful stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is just charming. Its setting and the views of the mountains are beautiful, and so relaxing! We will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.

A charming hotel and lovely location which makes for a very relaxing break.

Very nice place. Be carefull as the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening. Nevertheless there is a very nice Osteria 500m from the Hotel.

Everything was perfect. We did find it difficult to find and it would have helped to have better directions as we were coming in the dark from Pisa airport. In the end we telephoned and this was most helpful. We would definitely recommend and return

This was a beautiful property and one of the best hotels we visited in Italy. We would highly recommend it to other travelers to Lucca who have a car. It is a short distance away from the city out in the beautiful countryside.
