Hotel absolutely fine, new and clean, breakfast good, front desk staff excellent. Hotel location is convenient for visiting Lucca but is in an industrial section of Porcari. Did not eat dinner at hotel as restaurant seemed to lack coziness and intimacy. Apart from a pizzaria we did not find a nice restaurant in Porcari.

Porcari is a perfect base for those who want to travel during their stay in Tuscany. Town has a good location - 10 km from Lucca, 25 km from Pisa and 65 km from Firenze (4.6 EUR one way ticket for train). Hotel itself provides incomparable value for money, starting from free parking (outdoors), offering rich breakfast, spacious rooms and such a helpful staff that it cannot be better (thank you Ivan and Floriana). The only downsize of this hotel is its surroundings, it's situated close to a small industrial site - but, they are making cheese there, so ... Easy reach of traditional italian food products. We recommend hotel La Plazza to couples willing to explore Tuscany's beauties and staying in a comfortable hotel.

All of the guestrooms and apartments at this charming 3 star Porcari hotel have been soundproofed and come with a wide range of amenities including complimentary high-speed wireless and wired Internet access, a minibar and a plasma-screen TV with international channels.
