Hotel La Luna - Lucca

Beautiful little hotel. Excellent location near the gate,,,,,easy to get to and from the outer walls of this medieval city. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for other sites in the area as well as restaurants. We highly recommend this charming hotel.

We booked a night at this hotel at the last minute having decided to leave Florence a day early. I simply booked the first hotel in Lucca that had a room for a family of four. What a room! I swear, it was like sleeping in a room in the Ufizzi gallery! The staff were VERY helpful and friendly. They happily checked train times online on our behalf. We will be going back to Lucca and we will make sure of staying at La Luna again !

Breakfast should be included in the room price at the rate we paid.

I really liked this hotel; my stay was brilliant, the room was lovely and I had a great time. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the town. The staff was very helpful; when I decided to stay for an extra the room was reserved immediately at the same price as my original stay. The only problem I had was that one of the mornings I was awoken very early by construction outside my window.

Although the situation of the hotel is excellent - very close to the Amfiteatro - we found it very overpriced for what it was. The breakfast had to be paid for separately, at at 11 euros each was not worth the money. On the whole we would not recommend this hotel.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel La Luna. It would be rather far away from the train station to get there on foot. But it was very convienient to visit most part of the nice spots in the city.

The staff were the most welcoming in all of our stays in Italy.we would happily stay at La Luna again and would recommend it.

Lulu was a great help in getting a dinner reservation and other hotel accomidations. The use of the internet was a great way to keep in touch with family. Did no eat breakfast there went out exploring instead. Bed was confortable and room was quiet.

We stayed 4 nights. No problems, all fairly good. A garage was available for the car (at 15Euros per night), which was essential in this town. We thought for the price that a simple breakfast could have been included.

Very well located, easy to access by car. Parking garage is insufficient. Rooms are well furnished and clean. Staff varied from very nice to almos rude depending on who was on the front desk.

People encharged of running the hotel at nights are not always nice. However, Lucca is a wonderful place!

Within September for professional reasons I will transfer me and my family to live in Lucca.For this reason, I decided to stay in Lucca for 2 days with my son (5 years old) and his baby sitter. I had the opportunity to stay in Luna hotel. Very good position. In the centre of the city, I rent the bikes and, in spite of the heat, we visit Lucca for 4 hours... Rooms clean and very quite, some little troubles to arrive by car to the hotel and to the garage ...but the employees are very kind to give you usefull information! ...so ...I can say that Luna hotel contributed succesfully to my decision to live in lucca in the next months (...years!)

La Luna is a lovely hotel set right in the heart of Lucca. The staff are both friendly and helpful. The main shopping street is just outside the hotel and there is so much to see and do. Plenty of places to eat, drink or have an icecream. Take a leisurely stroll round the town wall or you can hire a bike for 2.50euros an hour.Climb the Guinigi tower for stunning views. The hotel is a good 20 minutes from the station so if you have a suitcase, would suggest you get a taxi.Breakfast at 11 euros we thought to be rather steep for what it was.Would definitely go again.

Not too impressed being charged 22 euros extra for a basic continental breakfast. would not have bothered if known.

Hotel ws well located close to several good restaurants and near the centres of activity. Walking distance from all within the city walls. Close to former Roman amphitheatre which had several bars and shops. Good opera and concerts in Lucca.
