Hotel Sainte-Catherine - Lourdes

The Hotel was very nice, small,but more than enough for the purpose of just sleeping there. The room was small but comfortable. We were there for 2 nights. The only drawback was that due to the "low" season, the reception is not there at all times;so especially at night if something is needed or something breaks down,there is nobody there to tell them about it. They did give us a phone number to call if needed. Again, we were there a few days before the season (Easter)started and almost all hotels in Lourdes were closed or partially closed. The staff was very nice though when we saw them in the morning. The grotto is within walking distance if you have no problem doing so. We would stay there again.

The staff were very helpful, very clean and convenient, I would recommnend this hotel to anybody visiting Lourdes. The price is very good for the the luxuries offered by this hotel.

Big free parking just in front of the hotel. The owner is not available all day. He expected that we telephone him after our arrival (so we could have entered earlier into our room). As I ignored this, I didn't use his mobile number clearly indicated on the door. The room was nice and tidy. Neighbours smoked on the floor and we had a bit smell in our room. The rooms are very noisy. We didn't have a real problem with this. However, if you do: perhaps invest a bit more money and chose another hotel. I would definitely return to St. Cathérine. The owner was extremely nice and friendly. Walking distance to the grotto max. 10 Min.

Except for the faucet that was out of order, our stay was pleasant. We just didn't realize how far it was from the center. Upon arriving, there was no bus available to ride and go to the hotel.

Very nice hotel and we will surely stay there if we visit Lourdes again.

The hotel has some catch-up to do in order to modernize the rooms, especially the bathrooms which are out-dated.The breakfast is served in canteen atmosphere...

- VERY STRONG RECOMENDATION - Very Kind Staff. The chef prepared a special meal for my wife who wasn't very well one night (and it was not expensive). We stayed there for five night and we really very much enjoyed our stay. The beds were excellent and the breakfast good value! I also enjoyed the large shower in which one feels at ease. (especialy if you are a large person) Decoration is a bit old fashion although... But the hotel is well situated in a quite area in front of a hudge free car park. The hotel is at a walking distance (less than ten minutes) from the sanctuary and city centre. I personaly took my car to do to the sanctuary because my wife wasn't in a state to walk much. And we used a tourist pass to move arround (with a little train) and visit the city. One should not miss the castle which is most interesting and if you do so on a sunny day you can you'll then enjoy a superb view over the city in its garden. My recomendation is to stay there at least three days with all there is to do in the city. We shall go back. This is the best value hotel I have been to for a very long time!

The staff members were helpful in answering questions and meeting a couple of special requests. Friendly. A simple, pleasant hotel for a good price for travelers who don't want to put all their money into hotel accommodations.

It was a very nice hotel. Extreamly good service was provided and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definetely stay there again. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Hotel Sainte Catherine recently for 4 nights. The woman at the desk when I arrived was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The staff were all able to speak English well so no language barriers for English-only speakers. My room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel location was good for me, with many cafes, bars, restaurants, etc within easy walking distance. I wasn't there to visit the grotto so proximity to the cathedral wasn't important to me, however it's about a 10 minute walk. Parking is available in the hotel garage. There is also a large car park opposite the hotel but you must pay. As with most hotels in Lourdes, traffic noise is a problem. There's no air conditioning in the rooms so in hot weather it's necessary to leave the windows open which makes the problem worse.
