Nice, but very touristy -- like all hotels in Lourdes. Very convenient to the Sanctuary though, although I wish the restaurants close to the hotel were more "french"...

Nice, but very touristy -- like all hotels in Lourdes. Very convenient to the Sanctuary though, although I wish the restaurants close to the hotel were more "french"/authentic.

The room was very clean but tiny and the bathroom seemed even smaller. We got a street side room and it was very noisy even late into the night. The room was also cold and we couldn't find anywhere to turn heat on at the radiator. At least the elevator was bigger than we had encounter in other cities of France. We didn't spend hardly anytime other than sleeping at night so I guess it was fine for the price and location, so close to the shrine.

I wasn't quite sure on arrival that I had reached the correct hotel as the photograph was a night shot and I arrived early morning but on entering I was assured. I spoke no French but thankfully the reception staff could speak a little English, some better than others. They are very helpful. Walking distance to entrance of sanctuaries 3 minutes. Because I had my aged mother with me the most uncomplicated way from London to Lourdes was via Ryan Air (cheapest air) from Stansted (6.20 a.m. one flight daily) to PAU (10.20 a.m.) then a taxi to Saint Sauveur. Taxi cost 100 Euros. The return flight leaves at 9.40 a.m. arriving Stansted 10.10 a.m. We then took the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street for a connection to Hammersmith where we were staying. Please note that travelling with Ryan Air everything must be booked on line otherwise you pay at the airport for check-in luggage and boarding passes. If you live outside of the EU you can make the bookings but might have difficulty printing boarding passes.

We stayed in a Triple Room, which was fairly basic, but comfortable enough: 3 single beds, a built-in wardrobe, a small television(which was not used by us) and a bathroom, which had a decent over-bath shower, with reliable hot water. The location is perfect for visiting the Grotto, just 2-3 minutes walk from St Joseph's gate.

Only adverse comment is on arrival we had to take a twin as opposed to the double we had booked. Twin room was not good at all, very dark with little natural light. The following day we were moved to a double which was 100% better.

The moment we check in, the hotel shows a good welcoming attitude. They try to provide the type of room as specially requested. We get what we expected. And we can check in early in the morning. What impressed us very much is when we have problem with our train. It is the national SNCF train strike on 18th October. We found the train station was empty, nobody...and we decided to call the hotel. They understand the situation. They give the same rate as our first night. Jean the manager and also Vanessa are very helpful in guiding us to solve our problem (amid their busy interaction with the guests...). We finally found the flight to get out of Lourdes with their kind assistance. The hotel is rated 3 star, but looking at the facilities, service and man power, it is more 4 star. Internet access is also free. If you have laptop with you, they provide a lounge for internet access...FREE...no passcode required...

Room excellent, however shower {over bath }was not what I would expect from this quality hotel. The height adjustment was inadequate for all but very short persons. Otherwise standards met my expectations.

I brought my 2 older daughters with me to visit Lourdes for health reasons and to also see how beautiful the city is. We requested a triple room and the room was comfortable and clean. Our only complaint was that the security box was not working which is very important to me. Lourdes was only a stopover for us and we were traveling to other parts of Europe.

The staff was extremely friendly;from Natalie at the front desk, Esperanza in the restaurant, to the boutique staff. They went out of their way to be hel[pful. The hotel is right around the corner from the sanctuary; thus us an excellent location. Overall; I would say a very good buy for the dollar.
