Hotel Roissy - Lourdes

Just a very old hotel. nothing great about it, but nothing awful either.

Excelllent Hotel, have stayed in several Hotels over the years, and can say that this is the best by far. Will be back and would alsorecommend to others.

We had a quadruple room in the attic, which is nice in layout since two beds are located upstairs and made the room seems spacious. However, we were disappointing with the "half-board" service as we were charged for the meals that we did not take.

The place was good, but i did not like the meals (i.e. breakfast)

I went to Lourdes on a prayer trip so, Hotel Roissy was just what I needed. It provided the solitude I needed and, no intrusions - the Do Not Disturb light was on for the 2 days I was there and I did not have any hotel staff knocking on my door - unlike a hotel I stayed in Portugal, where the house keeping staff knocked on my door persistently and then used their key, even though I had hung up the Do Not Disturb sign! The hotel was a few minutes walk to the Grotto of Our Lady and also conveniently located for accessing the little shops found everywhere and for a stroll along the banks of the river (Gave, I think it"s called). For the pilgrim visitors, the hotel also has the activities for the shrine of Bernadette posted on a wall in the lobby, along with other helpful bits of information - in English! The staff were courteous and helpful and accommodated my awful-at-best French and gestures. All in all, a great hotel.

Hotel needs renovation. Parking space very tiny and not enough.

El servicio de restaurante, la calidad de la comida, los horarios y la limpieza del retaurante muy malos. A las 7:30 de la mañana te despiertan para limpiar las habitaciones. Parece más un convento que un hotel.

Hotel is really close to St Joseph gate. Price is fair and accomodation for 4 people was excellent. I'll recommend Hotel to families and friends. There is also parking at the back for people who drive.

A nice placed hotel, very near to goal, enough for the aim of staying but seems that it needs to renew a little bit the rooms. Very clean. If I had to go again I would do it.

If you want to be close to the Sanctuary, then the Roissy is an excellent choice. However, the hotel is more rundown vs. the pictures on the webpage. Our first issue with the hotel was that we didn't realize that the rooms did not have airconditioning until we arrived. It's a good thing that the evenings are cool in Lourdes, even during Summer, so it was not uncomfortable. Since we had to keep the balcony door open, though, it was a bit noisy throughout the night. The second odd thing was that the door to the room does not automatically lock so you need to use the key to lock the door even when you are in the room. Also, the toilet was located in a separate room, away from the bath and sink, and there was a useless bidet that was blocked the way to the tub and that didn't drain well. There was a problem with the hot water on our first night but thankfully that was fixed the following evening. My mom's room (a single) did not come with a TV. The lady at the counter was a bit curt but the rest of the staff we met were friendly and open, specially the waitresses at the restaurant. It's a good idea to get the buffet meals at the hotel's spacious restaurant since there are few culinary options in Lourdes.
