I recently stayed at Hotel La Fontaine for 4 nights. The hotel owner was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The single room was small but adequate for my needs. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were kept clean each day and the shower worked well. There was no TV in the room but there's one in reception and you can rent one in the room for an extra 5 Euros per day if you need it. The location is good, being only a few minutes walk downhill from the train station and also only a few minutes walk down to the Grotto (which was of no interest to me). I ate dinner there for 2 nights of my stay and found the food excellent and very good value. There was some traffic noise from my room, which is a problem in most locations in Lourdes, in part due to teenagers racing (literally) their scooters through the streets (I've never seen any police in my numerous visits to Lourdes), but with the help of some ear-plugs I was still able to sleep with the window open. Overall I would be happy to recommend this hotel as excellent value for money and would like to thank the friendly and helpful staff for an enjoyable stay.

Staff was very nice, rooms and bathroom was very clean and quiet.

This was my 11th trip to Europe. We were very pleased with this hotel. They go out of thier way to accomadate your needs. It was very clean and very quite. Wish we had been staying longer. Great People we wish them the best. We even ate dinner there both nights. Great food.

As a foreigner without knowing French, i was really worried when i reached Lourdes alone. But the hotel was excellent & within 5 min. walk from the Lourdes railway station & very closeby to the sanctuary.The hotel staff was excellent & really helped me out in locating the place. I am very satisfied with my stay at Hotel La Fontaine, The room was quite small and street side, which made it quite noisy, but not disturbing. I spoke with the owner before i travelled, he called me back in London and gave me directions to the hotel, which is situated 5mins walk from the train station, which was practical as i arrived late at night. I am a smoker and all rooms were non smoking, but the owner explained that rooms were difficult to rent after a smoker. I am overall satisfied and i would stay there again.

I slept very comfortably and overall enjoyed my stay. I felt the staff were most polite and helpful. I ate breakfast and dinner at La Fontaine which was perfect. I was alone and right before during dinner I actually ended up connecting with another traveler. So we were able to enjoy the our tasty meal together.

Highly recommended - friendly owners, spotlessly clean accomodation, good food, very reasonable prices. The rooms are quite small, but are comfortable: I stayed for three nights, and would happily have stayed longer!
