Hotel Du Dauphiné - Lourdes

We stayed in a triple room for 7 nights and found it cosy and spacious. Both Jerome and Matilde were the perfect hosts - charming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the sanctuary and very near to the train station. Will definitely stay here again if we come to Lourdes.

The hotel staffs were very helpful, friendly & warmth. The door knobs of the room & bathroom need to be repaired. The location is good.

Many visitors espect to find tea/coffee making facilities in every room; also Tv. Both were absent. Overall friendly reception from proprietors Jerome and Mathilde made up for this. We would go back, but with our own water boiler! Access to the Lourdes Grotto excellent.

The hotel is located just off the main tourist street in walking distance to the train station and the sanctuaries. Can be a bit hard to find though as the street takes a bend at an interesection and heads up hill. We had to ask 2 people. There is an internet point downstairs that seem to work fine but no wireless.

Slightly disappointed. Booked based on rave reviews. Frankly, unimpressed, even considering the low price. location as stated, accomodations as stated but: Noisy: thin walls, loud halls No internet / wi-fi: was told this was "a privilege" not included. Never got it to work. Minimal staff: Over a four day stay, never ran into anyone other than the night keeper. Room quality: a little mildew here and there. Verdict. I will not be booking again without trying somewhere else. I would certainly recommend paying a little more for something of higher quality.

very unplesent smell in bathroom (may be due to the pipe work poorly done). Dust in bedroom make quality vs price poor.

We wanted a basic room for two and the price was amazing. The location and aminities were excellent for the price we payed and the location was superb. Having to cut short our trip due to a death in the family was dealt with by Elisabeth the owner in such a proffessional manner and she was a tremendous help at this difficult time. Her English was excellent so she was of great compassion and a massive help. Additionally she promptly refunded us no questions asked for the remainder of the days we missed. EXCELLENT

The hotel is excellent if you are fit and able to walk, however if you have any difficulty walking or you are in/pushing a wheelchair up to the hotel, then the hotel would not be an ideal place to stay. The hotel is situated at the top of the road which is quite a steep hill. Inside the hotel the hallway is quite narrow and anyone in a wheelchair would have great difficulty. There is no access to the elevator inside the hotel after 11pm so please bare this in mind if you are travelling with people that may have a disability with breathing, walking or in a wheelchair.

My husband and I stayed in 1-bedrom in this cosy hotel and I highly recommend to any one who wanted to visit Grotto in Our Lady of Lourdes or any one touring Lourdes. Staff are very friendly and helpful.They guide us in places best to go in Lourdes, more importantly, staff assist us when our flights was cancelled due to volcanic erruption in Iceland. Hotel has a lift which provides great help to our luggages and people who are elderly and those with physical aid. The location of hotel is very accessible to Sanctuary, train station, shops and restaurant, all are short walking distance. This hotel is affordable with good quality service!

Excellent contact with employees. We feel immediatly at home. The price is very good for the quality of the room, the geographical situation and the big space of the room. The relationship between Price/quality is excellent. The receptionist is very kind and hepful.
