Excellent location, very close to the grotto. Large, clean, well equipped room. Excellent value.

it was the first time I stayed there . The hotel lies in a fantastic position, right next to the grotto. I wouldn't rate this hotel as a 4 star. I would say no more than 3 star hotel. The minibar was empty, the rooms were not spacious, at the bar you can sit for minutes without anybody coming, but the staff is very friendly. There was an elderly person helping us with the luggages who was really lovely!I would stay there again because of the position but I would suggest them to pay a little more attention on the details and to the service.

Booked room with view got poor quality room very small without a view in fact looking over a small stairwell. We were moved after complaint.Difficult to find in car due to extensive one way systems. parking impossible to find on first visit. Only had brreakfast which was adequate but any form of service in the hotel was slow. Often you could wait in bar for ten minutes for somebody to even come. Location of hotel could not be faulted.

I was very surprised because a valet opened the door of my room at 10 a.m. while I was in the bed. He didn´t ask: " Is there anybody ? ",he didn´t knock at the door before going into my room. Luckily, I wasn´t nude,.... I think this is unlowful and I say to the manager. He said me: " that is correct " and if I didn´t put the cartel " Don´t disturb " on my door, I couldn´t claim for this motive. I think this is a very serious theme. And nobody, without your consent can go into your room. The same day, I went to my room at 18:00 p.m. and the door of may room was opened. What happen with security in this hotel?

Overall we had a really lovely stay at the Grand Hotel Gallia, however for the price I think breakfast should have been included. The staff were excellent, very good customer service, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definately recommend this hotel to my family & friends.

The hotel is very near the Lourdes Grotto so if one's intention is to visit the Grotto regularly, this is a very convenient hotel. However, it is a bit difficult to locate. You have to ask around - in French!

How to reach Grand Hôtel Gallia et Londres

By car
From the A64 highway, exit at Lourdes, then follow the indications to centre ville. Take the Avenue Maransin (D914 road) and turn right into Boulevard de la Grotte. Then, drive along the Gave de Pau river, take the Pont Vieux, turn right into Avenue B. Soubirous. You will find the hotel at number 26.

By train
From the railway station, take a TCVL public bus to the Sanctuaires. Departures every 15 minutes.

By airplane
From the Tarbes-Lourdes airport, around 15 km away, take the N21 road and follow the signs to centre-ville. Then, follow the aforementioned indications.
Alternatively, a shuttle service to the Sanctuaries is available every 15 minutes.
