Our room was not ready when we arrived. We were asked to please return about 2 hours later which we did. However our room was still not ready and we waited another 2 hours before we had access to our room which was in a very undesirable area of the hotel. The front office staff was very unaccommodating and very unsympathetic . Until I demanded immediate service & the room , the staff did nothing to prepare the room. My wife & I have stayed at the Loews in a few different cities but I will never risk the inconvenience & rudeness again by staying at the Loews.

booked night of April 1, but told when arriving on April 2 at 8am, that our room was not ready and had to pay more for an upgrade to get us into a room straight away. Also could not get a final bill - promised to email it, but still do not have it - but they have billed our credit card twice for amounts that we do not know about. (approx $1,000US$). Can you help us please. they do not respond to telephone messages.

Lovely hotel. The pool/hot tub is great with a view of the beach and pier with lots of loungers and tables with chairs for a quick snack or breakfast by the pool. The price was as quoted, but the location of the room could have been better. We were in a room that had a view of the adjacent hotel and the noisy ... very noisy, air conditioning units associated with the hotels. The room was as pictured. It was clean and well appointed. The staff was very professional and polite. The location on the beach is great, but it is a hike to the 3rd street promenade for food and nightlife. I forgot about the included breakfast, and the hotel didn't remind me at check-in. I wish they would have, as my trip to McDonalds, which I ate poolside, was fine, but the hotel fare would have been better if it was included as quoted on Venere. I guess I'll never know. Overall, a very nice hotel. I'd gladly return at $159/night ($33/night parking is a killer, though). Also, we had two children with us, and there were no additional charges for them. We also asked for late check-out, and were given two additional hours. Nice touch. P.S. traffic in Santa Monica and L.A. is brutal. Be prepared!!!!!

Internet access is not included in the price and costs $11.95 for 24 hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY
One night's room and tax will be charged to the credit card at the time of booking. No shows and late cancellations will be charged a penalty of one night plus tax.
