Hotel Hollywood Celebrity - Hollywood, Los Angeles

A highly recommended hotel in Hollywood area. Excellent location, spacious room (dining area w/ a fridge and microwave, we love it), satisfactory cleanliness (just the tub not draining well), friendly staff (they were very helpful and provided informative and good advices on where to go). Perfect if you got a car, parking is free. Will definitely go back in future if we go to LA.

The only change I would have made was their no pet policy. But it was spacious, clean, great service and the welcoming was exceptional! I was in a rut, little cash on hand and a pre-paid credit card in my boyfriends name. No hotel would accept my debit card since it was in my boyfriends name, and they wouldn't accept cash. BUT, when I got to Hollywood Celebrity, not only were they willing to let me pay with cash AND credit card, they had only a $50 deposit. That alone made such a huge impact on me and, should I be staying in Los Angeles again it will be with a reservation at Hollywood Celebrity.

Hotel was very nice and in a perfect location, just 5 minutes walking to the chinese theater. do not espect good american breakfast!!!!!

The location is spot on for access to everything you want to do in Hollywood, most within walking distance, free parking and a quiet location despite being one block off the Hollywood strip,is clean good sized rooms but is a bit older and could do with some update in the bathroom.

The best is a free tea/coffee point at the lobby. Very friendly and helpful reception. Surroundings are perfect: Hollywood bulv., close to Malkholand drive, few minutes drive to Universal Studios park, close to Hollywood hills. But I would strongly suggest to have a car, as this will make easier to reach everything. Without car - too boring

The location is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was ok, but... And there are three big buts: it was noisy - the people in the room above us sounded like a herd of elephants; the bed was uncomfortable - like a large, lopsided marshmallow; and worst of all, the bath was FILTHY. So grubby, it creeped me out just to stand in it and take a shower; there was no way my daughter could have taken a bath.

First time on any type of a holiday so didn't know what to expect. booked a single room and my first reaction was that they were taking the piss because the hotel next door had a swimming pool which was directly beneath my bedroom window and then the cable going into the back of the tv set was worn and looked dangerous and I suppose in an ideal world I would have liked kitchen facilities which were provided in the double rooms I believe BUT the pool wasn't too noisy and the tv channels were crystal clear (it had a few HBO ones as well). pluses were free fenced-off parking, internet point in the lobby(lap-top needed for room access), very clean hotel, air-conditioner(a bit noisy though), friendly staff who were able to print my boarding passes for me from the internet, i felt fairly safe here and that's probably because Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood & Highland shopping/dining complex has been renovated in recent years and the hotel is only a stone's throw away, i was glad of the fridge in the room as well. i wouldn't think there's many more convenient hotel locations than this one if you want to get to the famous sights and tourist destinations either by car or by public transport. Most journeys took me a maximum 30 mins. and I went to Universal Studios(15 mins. and decent entertainment), Griffith Park(20mins.) where the LA Zoo + Griffith Observatory(worth visiting for Samuel Oschin Planetarium + telescope which you can only view after sunset) are, La Brea Tar Pits and Page Museum(15 mins. + pretty boring), Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour(15 mins. & not very good), Dodgers Stadium(25 mins. + worth seeing once anyway but remember where you parked), Venice + Santa Monica beaches(30mins. but 40 mins. maybe in weekend traffic and a must-do. walk from Venice Boardwalk up to Santa Monica pier and onto the streets of Santa Monica where the third promenade shopping street is. a definite highlight of my trip), Malibu beach(50mins. + scenic with loads of beach homes but w

I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Walk of Fame and the shopping mall. Rooms are "just" clean - the carpet needs a good clean right up to the walls and under the bed etc. It's a basic room, beds ok - bathroom has been renovated but it's still very basic. There is a microwave in the room annex but there is not even a plate or a fork or anything - so we couldn't heat our leftovers. It has a good location for tourist type things, basic rooms, and clean enough. it cost about $55 for the taxi from the airport - some shuttle service would have been welcome. Front desk Philippino woman was very pleasant and helpful.
